Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.

... View Moren my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
... View MoreExactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
... View More***SPOILERS*** Confusing at first movie about murder & stock manipulation that has a knock out of a twist,or quadruple twist, ending that will floor those watching it for a full 10 count that the film "Wrong Number" has to be despite being almost unknown to the movie ,in the theaters & TV, going crowd right up there with the best of them. It starts off with Josh Gray, Eric Roberts, being blown away by his stock market partner Michael Bartlett, David Lipper, who later tries to frame him in taking off with over 200 million dollars of stock from his company to the Cymen Islands that later, after he took off with it, went bust bankrupting all its thousands of share holders. At first looking liker an open and shut case for the police things are later reviled that shows that Michael was having an affair with the late Johs' wife Dana, Brigitte Bako, who's also a bit shady in her dealing with Josh & Michael and may well have had something to do with his murder. This leads to a fork in the road or parallel story with where we cut back to the murder scene and see that, despite what we already saw, there's was someone else, hidden behind the camera, who actually did Josh in and framed William or Dana with his murder. The movie starts to get really complicated when Det's.Scott Stevenson & Anton Bijon, Kane Picoy & Barry Blake, get on the case and end up screwing up-intentional or unintentional-every lead that can have them find Josh's killer.****SPOILERS**** The shocking ending takes, after you thought the movie was finally over, some ten minutes to explain and it's more then worth watching. It not only pulls all the loose ends together but comes up with some half dozen other ones that by the time its over will completely blow you mind. Besides being an excellent whodunit type of film "Wrong Number" can also be excellent choice the see on "Father's Day" as well!
... View MoreThis movie is odd the acting is pretty bad typical soft core porn acting but without the soft core porn. there's some witty dialogue between the two cops but its almost completly out of place. very weird movie about 3 out of 10 is what i would rate it.
... View MoreI found this film in a $5 DVD bargain bin and was skeptical, but I liked Brigitte Bako in Paranoia and Eric Roberts on his current series Less Than Perfect, so I figured what-the-hell.The film gets off to a slow start, and for a while it looks as if it's going nowhere. It begins with Bako revealing to the police how she thinks her husband, Roberts, was murdered. But the film picks up when we switch points of view and see the same scenario with Bako as the murderer. I have to admit the role-reversal was quite cleverly crafted. After another chain of events, what really happened was revealed, leading to a very surprising twist ending. I generally have movies of this sort figured out long before the characters, but the twist that happens in the last 2 minutes of the film genuinely floored me. Good perfermances, clever story... It was certainly worth the $5!
... View MoreOk I wont bore you with the name of the characters and the plot but it cotains hardly no acting what so ever except for Eric Roberts. I love him in anything he does but this movie at best gets a 2 stars out of 4 stars. It has a ok plot and a ok ending but they should have done better. It's out on DVD and I will probably buy it but only for Eric Roberts performance and I want all his films on DVD. He is a great actor and if you chose other titles from him you will not be disappointed! he is really that good!
