Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Winnie the Pooh is out of honey. Eeyore has lost his tail. Owl is writing his memoirs and suggests a reward for a replacement tail. Christopher Robin takes Pooh's suggestion of a honey pot for the reward. After many attempts, Kanga knits Eeyore a tail which later unravels. Pooh finds Christopher missing and a note at his doorstep. Owl misreads the note leading the group to think that Christopher has been captured by a monster called Backson. This movie maintains the sense of play from the Pooh franchise. It is the stuff of childhood. It's fully connected to its book origins with the familiar style. It is traditional and what great traditions they are. Disney is not reinventing the wheel as much as giving it a good wash. It's adorable. The animation is old fashion but a little crisper than the older versions. It recreates what makes the old stories so beloved.

It had been an awfully long time since Disney had done anything with the beloved 'Winnie the Pooh' characters originally written by A.A Milne on the big screen, so it was lovely to see them return for this film.Using the style of story book tales coming alive this is a sweet natured film, with some lovely hand-drawn animation and some nice voice acting (though many of the voices are different to those who had appeared in other 'Pooh' films sadly), along with a few sprightly new songs. It is however a rather short film at around 63 minutes, and while I appreciate that it was aimed at younger audiences, it is rather short.A nice film though.

Winnie the Pooh (2011): Dir: Stephen J. Anderson, Don Hall / Voices: Jim Cummings, Bud Luckey, Craig Ferguson, Travis Oates, John Cleese: What is a Pooh? It sounds like a stench. Why not Winnie the Bear? Isn't that what he is? I have a better idea. How about Winnie the Crap? This is a very stupid family film with the biggest brain dead characters. There are several subplots and none of them good. First of all we have the depressed donkey Eeyore who is in need of a tail and the quest to find a tail and achieve a jar of honey. Then we have Winnie's grumbling stomach that was no more near the grumbler that I was after seeing the film. Then we have boy owner Christopher Robin who leaves a note claiming that he is gone and will be back soon. Well, these idiot stuffed animals misread the note and believe that their owner has been captured by a monster. They conjure up what they believe the creature looks like and such bull. They even dig a pit for it to fall into. Well, these moron stuffed animals end up falling into the pit. What is even dumber is that Owl can fly yet it doesn't don on him or anyone else that he can escape and get help. While the animation is the same as the classic cartoon, the writing is kindergarten level intelligence. The cartoon from Disney delighted the imagination while this horrid piece of junk insults anyone who watches it. All of this talent, including John Cleese narrating went into this total dog show that might have been good had it examined some character origins or something. Instead we are left with a film that should be mauled by grizzly bears. Score: 1 / 10

I love all of the Winnie the Pooh movies, and I watch them regularly. I think they are very good for children and grown ups who are still children in heart, like me. So, because I watched every Winnie that was available, I have noticed a few things which I didn't like in this one that are different from all the rest. This Winnie the Pooh movie is not very good. First, the Rabbit is different, and in one scene he thinks about girls and money, what's up with that? How could you change an innocent character by adding stuff from MTV videos, and why? Also, the Piglet and Winnie are behaving stupid in some of the scenes and they are not usually like that, they are simple, but in a cute way, it's not a flaw like their stupidity in this one. And the plot... The plot is just copy of previous stories from old Winnie movies. So, I'm glad they released the new movie but they could do it a lot better.
