This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.

A must see movie for classic horror fans. This is not a superficial slasher, gore fest. It is desolate like being stranded, and mood driven with ghostliness, and an overall sadness about it. For those who have a liking of darkness, snow, and cold in settings with few or only one other person to experience things, or to solely rely on this is one for you. I personally absolutely love this movie. It's one of my favorites of all time, and I've seen most. I've watched it many times. I tend to be a loner, rather than extravertish, and this movie really agrees with my personality. I fell in love with Emily Blunt as this being the first movie I ever saw her in. Though a low budget movie, I don't know how much if any, a larger budget would have improved it. It's a hidden gem.

OK, Great Horror Flick! But always remember, it is Horror (not real)! This horror movie is not 'Horror-ific' (horrific, if you know what I mean). It's playful horror without the gore. Just think of it as a ghost movie that scares and you'll be just fine. Another viewer said he forked over $13.99 to see this in his hotel room. I don't think I would have paid to see this movie, since horror is so fake and unreal to me. But watching it on my Comcast/Xfinity cable inclusion, no problem. I watched this on an LG 4K Wide Screen HDTV, but unfortunately, it was not on an HD channel. Needless to say, the quality was crap! I think they have this movie in HD, but I missed the HD viewing. I believe it needs to be in HD to get the full experience and effects of a horror film. The sound quality is not that great if not in HD. Wait for the HD version or check OnDemand for it. It played on STARZ Encore Suspense channel (254 in our area). This movie had a good mystery to it. Was the guy she chose to ride to Delaware with planning some ill-intent against her? Or otherwise? Let's see how well others can be in their predictions of this mystery. I wasn't spot on with my own. I suppose you may say some things like 'I would have done this or that' while watching this movie, but most horror movies have some 'stupid' factor played into the plot, silly choices being made to cause more 'horror' effect, ya know? Yes, the college dude has a'weirdness' factor he initially displays as he goes about his business listening to her attitude as he seems somewhat 'abnormal' to her. Which one is crazy? You'll have to watch and see for yourself. I watched it, it was good, it needed HD for the best effect, the plot was good, the ending was not expected, watch it in HD though! That's all.

Wind Chill is the story of two college students(their names are never mentioned in the movie, i don't know if this was intensional or not, its a bit clever you always find out in the end credits ) driving home for Christmas break who become stranded on a road off the highway after getting into a wreck. Trapped in the car to escape the desperate cold. The leads in this movie are played by Emily Blunt and Ashton Holmes, who is in a bunch of stuff but no one remembers him, both do a pretty decent acting i describe it as above average, but the problem of the film is not his performance but the plot it centers around, the theory of eternal return: is a concept that the universe has been recurring, and will continue to recur, in a self-similar form an infinite number of times across infinite time or space. Basically 'Time is a Flat Circle',the film tries to use this theory but does not execute properly, if fact it makes it more confusing. As they are trapped they son begin to experience ghostly/zombie encounters, again is not well explained or executed, and some how they are mildly scared of whats going on.It could have been a lot more interesting but it's too slow and dull for most of the movie and when the scary stuff finally does show up, it's not well executed, you leave wondering what the director was aiming for as you just get confused.

I enjoyed this movie! It wasn't as thrilling as some but the story & characters drew me in and fascinated me. The acting was absolutely brilliant from all concerned - especially the two leads - "guy and girl". I loved that they never named them and how interesting it was that they never introduce themselves to each other! Very moody and tense, this is not a horror flick for gore fans, it's more of a tension- filled drama with spooky spectral beings and one particularly nasty ghost adding to the proceedings. The script is extremely well written, even eliciting a couple of wry chuckles at appropriate times. The direction and score (by the awesome Mansell) were excellent and it utilised it's chillingly beautiful snow- bound setting and creepy ruins expertly. I loved it but I wouldn't call it a horror movie - despite a few of the nastier images. It's more of a thrilling drama, a spooky love story, and/or - as someone else wrote - a tale of redemption. It's also a tale about dealing with isolation, not just in the snow-covered crashed car but in the lives of the protagonists generally. And the ending is perfect when you understand what this movie is - and is not - about. The movie gives you plenty to think about and if you watch this expecting everything to be crystal clear, straightforward and wrapped up at the end you'll be disappointed. It's got something of a metaphorical/philosophical under-pinning that relates to the characters of 'guy' and 'girl' and their "night of awakening".I note with interest several of the "this is rubbish" reviews seem to have made obvious mistakes about what happens in this movie, even clear and simple things like what actions the characters took to get help at different times. Either they didn't watch it all or they weren't paying attention which is probably why they ended up giving it a bad review. This is a movie you need to pay attention to - it's not just "lets have fun eating popcorn while watching people being terrorised in the dark" - there's much more to it than that. But it's the two main actors that really make this movie. The quality of their acting is astounding and it says bucket-fulls about their acting skills that they both eventually gained my sympathy. I actually didn't like either of them at first, she was horribly arrogant & he is a stalker/loser, but as the movie progressed I grew to understand them & their behaviour (as did they) and really care about, not just their survival of this particular night, but their future development as human beings. I recommend it to people who like moody ghost stories with an intelligent, poetic style & a focus on character development, who don't mind a slower paced movie. I don't recommend it if you have the attention span of a gnat or think horror movies are good only if they're about "violence, gore & sick stuff" as I've heard some say. Will be looking for more from this director.
