Three to one may sound like fairly good odds, but it depends on the game. When the "one" is one very irresistible woman and the "three" are three hopelessly smitten guys, the deck is pretty stacked. In the battle of the sexes, the first rule is to never underestimate the power of a woman.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

If you have to watch this, watch it alone, for it is that bad. If you have to watch this, I hope your reason is, like mine, suckered in by Amanda Peet. Otherwise...Okay, these guys, especially Brad and Zeke, had it coming to them, most deservedly so. But the girl got her digs in by being intimate with them, so setting them up, but come off it, so what if she sees three guys swaggering about in the park, she has to, er, go and rub, ahem, shoulders with them to teach them their lesson? A pretty girl like that should mingle with these three (okay, two-and-a- half) laddish louts to show them the error of their ways? And did they really lose out, I mean, did she really teach them a lesson? No. The whole set-up doesn't prove anything, and the female protagonist compromises herself, in turn becoming thoroughly dislikable herself. The script should have been written in such a way that she only teased them and never went, er, under the covers with them.Amanda Peet is very pretty, the only saving grace of this effort, but her character becomes mercenary almost. The word "off-putting" comes to mind. In short, better to give this one a miss. The frequent "adult references" (which wouldn't be suitable to print here) are the most entertaining part of this freak-out, gross-fest, thoroughly lousy little flick. The one that works out best (and neatest) is the one that involves the two spinster-like ladies in the diner knowing about the wonders of pineapple juice. One of the other reviewers said that there are plenty of spaces to run out for a beer without missing anything. You could just as well throw in a takeaway at a fast-food joint as well, you'd spare yourself a hell of a lot of yuck.

This movie tells the dating stories of male friends in New York. They happen to go out with the same girl, raising the tension between them. Even if it's a comedy rather than a drama, the movie drags too much. The directing is not up to the task: the four adventures are rather cut than blend together. Except the shy and expert wankker, the characters aren't interesting but highly unbelievable. Amanda is the only good thing here because she seems natural and brings her usual smile and kindness. The fan of the big apple would be happy too because there's a lot of exterior stuff. There are funny moments (the dreams, the fights) but it was not enough to convince me, all the more that i watched the American version without subtitles and i couldn't understand the dialogs.

"Whipped" is the story of a couple of average guys who ritualistically get together and discuss their latest hangups with women. I watched this film with very low expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I got into it. Amanda Peet is the angle this movie was sold on, but I didn't think she was as interesting as the guys themselves, whose late-night conversations are absolutely brilliant. Definitely see this movie.

Spoilers herein.Pretty thin stuff, this. The entire structure is based on some supposedly snappy sex-tinged dialog and the reverse of the scam-the-scammers. Because of the first part of the latter, it is often compared to `Company of Men' but that completely misses the point of the reversal. No matter, if this could have had value, it would have been in the diner, in what happened there among these four guys and the movies they weave with their stories. Some of this DOES have edge: the pair that screws and steals, the fabrications of the masturbator. But it doesn't have nearly enough to justify spending time with. `Red Meat' is vastly superior in this regard.I watched this because Amanda Peet was very effective in the one `fulcrum' scene in `Igby' where she meets her lover and is rejected, all soundlessly. Effective film drama that she inhabits. No skill or charm here however.Ted's Evaluation -- 1 of 4: You can find something better to do with this part of your life.
