What About the Bodies Trailers

A solitary man drives on an isolated road. He pulls over, checks on something in the back seat, gets out a shovel, and vomits. It seems he's looking for a place to bury a body.

Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Out in the country a man drives to a deserted location with his semi-comatose girlfriend in order to finish her off and bury her. However he is disturbed by a man in a van, who seemingly has come to the area for the same purposes. When the two cross paths they create more problems for each other - never mind the ultimate resting place for whatever bodies will need putting in holes.I saw this film at a regular night of short films and it was generally very well received by the audience. The film has very little back story but it has a dark comic energy to it that makes it work very well and be funny and quite shocking at the same time. The three (or four) protagonists exchange blows and it drew several laughs out of me even if it relies on brutal Tom & Jerry a lot more than any skill in writing or subtly of wit. The actors deal well with the blows and it is hard not to gasp at times, however they aren't really required to do anything character wise.Ellis' direction is very good. He injects pace into the film and he is very able when it comes to the physical comedy. He has tried to do this type of thing before but here he does it better than he did last time. Overall this film has nothing in the way of background and little in the way of plot but it is still very funny in a rather dark and cruel way.
