An Exercise In Nonsense

a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

Usually my thought box is abuzz the entire time. But from the very beginning, this film got me to just stop and really listen. a lot of simple themes explored in a memorable way. a very small but touching story of people, life, death, sadness, and true happiness. each shot is filled with emotion.The tone, pacing, and characters are all cold and unpleasant. The atmosphere, the themes, and the journey are warm and pleasant.very artzy, but very beautiful.
