You will almost immediately know why Quentin Tarantino loves and endorses this movie called 'Werewolf Woman'. Tarantino is a fan of revenge stories, and director Rino Di Silvestro has made quite a shocking revenge film in the horror genre. And of course, when you find out that Tarantino recommends a film, you have to watch it. This Italian film is made on a very small budget and falls into the grindhouse category. While it's technical aspects might not impress everyone, it's violent and outrageous story might thrill genre fans who are new to this film. Silvestro has taken a story of revenge and added the werewolf aspect to it, although we barely get a glimpse of this monster anywhere in the film. Silvestro instead relied on the monstrous transformation to take on a psychological value rather than the physical change, and it works quite well here. And no, this particular film does not have a woman of the S.S. variety, but the "She-Wolf' aspect is here to stay, although Silvestro has ventured into the nazi territory before with his grindhouse resume. And since this is indeed an over-the-top grindhouse movie, none of it is taken very seriously. The story follows Daniella Neseri (Annik Borel), who has had a very rough time growing up. She has been raped and abused through most of her life, by various people. This has caused her to turn into a literal monster who takes revenge on her attackers. I think Silvestro was exploring our animal instincts into our deep dark psyches when we are threatened and attacked. Daniella meets a very nice man later on in life, and she seems to have recovered from her past troubles. However, someone brutally rapes her again, undoing all the work she has done to keep a peaceful and happy life. And the beast returns with a mighty vengeance to confront her attackers. Actress Annik Borel is not only nude through most of the film, but delivers a great performance of one woman who is helpless and timid, but switches on the vengeful animal traits flawlessly. It becomes a little redundant at times, but Silvestro wants to remind us of our primal animal and naturalistic instincts when threatened with fear.A background story of how this werewolf business might be a passed on from generation through generation is solid as well, and if you've never seen a naked female werewolf, then the image of Borel in full werewolf makeup will leave a lasting impression.

I am so sick of the sad morality of typical horror fans who Jes love those predicable ultra violent films & are abhorred by nudity- sorry you are a bunch of 13 year old girls praying for a scary PG-13 Film. And this is not that. 1st of all Ann Borel is one of the most exquisite women ever to appear in film. 2ndly the style of this film is in fact quite modern ie Penny Dreadful -current Showtime "serial"style. The "werewolf" concept has been modified. There is a "traditional werewolf" portrayed in the opening segment but for most of the film the she were-wolf "Daniella" is simply cursed with the werewolf blood of her great grandmother. In addition -She is tormented by a rape -and disturbed -sadly by sex after that until she finds a good man & happiness. Then she is brutally gang-raped & finds revenge. But this is not a spoiler of the end!!!!!!! Literally worthy of HBO. But then Ann Borel is a beautiful woman & way too much for most of the other reviewers who just love those pg-13 horror films made for teenage girls. If you love Dario Argento or Jesus Franco you will love this film. Of course a dubbed from Italian Film will appear to be poorly acted - but at least you don't have to read subtitles to watch this. A great classic - a long forgotten film beauty. Easily owned on DVD for less than $10 from the 50 Sci-Fi Movie Classics Collection on Mill Creek. Seriously 50 other movies too!!!

This film had the most exciting opening scene during the credits that I have ever seen. It was erotically charged, and the werewolf was amazing! She had the longest nipples I have ever seen. What immediately followed was grade Z dialog and action. And those costumes must have been left over from some American Revolution epic. There is plenty of long lingering full frontal from Annik Borel and Dagmar Lassander and others. There is no shortage of boobs or thatch. All the elements of a good Euro-sleaze film are here: nudity, blood, rape, masturbation, lesbianism, and revenge.Sleaze is sleaze, but this was good sleaze.

This movie was part of a 50-movie sci-fi pack. Little did we know we were getting semi-hard porn in the package. But this little horror movie has become my hubby's new favorite flick. Not because the acting is good, far from it, and the dubbing is horrid. Though the premise of the story is decent when you think about it. A young woman was raped as a child and has never recovered, so her father decides that they shall live in the old ancestral home for some P&Q so she can get better. She comes across some information about a long-dead relative, which then sets off her psychosis and she thinks she is a werewolf. Time to kill some people. But the story is soon forgotten, what with all the full frontal and back nudity and sex going on (but I did not get to see any major man parts, so phooey on that!). As far as B movies go, it's what one would expect, and if you want to see a lot of naked women, then this is the movie for you.
