This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

I rate this hideous failure as 1/10 because there is no facility to rate 0/10. Some bad movies are so bad that they are funny, amusing. THIS movie is in a whole different category: it is painful to watch. As another reviewer stated: Any rating above 2/10 is fake. Yes, I agree. How it is possible for two reviewers to award 10/10 and 9/10, I do not know. Cast or crew members, or friends/relatives of them? Just fooling around? Trolls? Here they are: 9/10 Another gem in the long line of the Way Of series says "peterh-23" and 10/10 This is very scary reports "jacobjohntaylor1". What? HUH? Are you serious? A "gem"? "scary"? NO WAY.This is truly one of THE worst films I have ever seen, in decades of watching a few thousand flicks. I've reviewed many hundreds, here on IMDb and elsewhere. Horror films are one of my favourite genres, vampires in particular. To try to associate this crud with Bram Stoker is criminal imho; undoubtedly the title fooled many people, drew them in to buying this puerile nonsense.Everything about this "motion picture" is dreadful. The acting is abysmal, just unbelievable. Denise Boutte in particular comes across as an 8-year old reading a script for the first time. Hard to put into words how awful her acting is; one of the very few times words do indeed fail me. A new low has been reached with the creation of this garbage. The violence is a joke, but not amusing. The ending, though mindless, was a blessed relief. Avoid it, don't watch it. I certainly regret that I wasted even one minute on it.

Maybe I'm mistaken but I doubt Bram Stoker would had been happy about it that his name was attached to this movie. And I don't even know why his name is attached to this movie in the first place (well, marketing reasons of course). It features the characters Dracula and Van Helsing but these are literally the only two things this movie and Bram Stoker's novel have in common.I'm honestly still quite puzzled what this movie was supposed to be all about. Perhaps all you simply need to know is that Van Helsing is hunting down Dracula. There of course isn't really much else you need to know about the story and there honestly is also nothing more to the story really. At least not that I ever noticed. It's also true that I'm simply starting to get fed up with horror movies placing classic stories and characters in modern times. It has been done far too often already and it is also very rarely works out satisfying enough. So why keep trying and doing it? Probably because its cheaper to place a movie in modern times than in ancient ones and its also easier to sell a movie that way to a younger crowed. It's too bad that us vampire- and horror lovers have to suffer because of that.A thing that I also really didn't liked about this movie was that it placed for too many characters in it. Why couldn't it focus on just Van Helsing alone and why did it had to throw in so many different characters, that aren't even properly developed or even very interesting in the first place. It is also definitely true that most of them come across that way simply because they aren't exactly being played by any of the best actors around.I don't really understand what this movie tried to achieve but it seemed to me as if it was going for a cool and hip modern approach and style. This however never works out because the movie obviously didn't had the budget for it and it's action and editing simply is really below par. At times the movie looks as if it got put together by a couple of high school students, who decided to make a cool vampire movie, in their spare time. No, I'll admit that it's not the worst or most annoying genre film I have ever seen (it's also simply luckily too short for that) but there still is basically no reason why anyone should ever watch this.3/10 http://bobafett1138.blogspot.com/

So, every time this turkey flies, the people that made it get money? That's just not right. Another reviewer saw it on Sci-Fi 2 years ago; that's where I saw it today. Hey, Sigh-Fie, that's enough! The dialog is truly brain-dead; my kid put more thought into her Jr-high book reports. Take a concept with potential, turn it into deadly- dull dialog for an incompetent screen play and you have a movie not worth anyone's time.In fact, I couldn't watch it all. About 40 minutes in, I turned it off to read the reviews here, curious whether anyone could find redeeming value. Uhh, not really. I agree with the reviewer who said anything more than 2 stars is fake. I did watch the last 5 minutes or so and that's why I'm going to check the *spoiler* box, though I don't think any reviewer comments could spoil this sack of cynicism. The final fight scene is like the worst pro-wrestling you've ever seen: they had to slow down the fight so they could get all the lines said. And the last scene had the head vampire lady, who had been non-fatally stabbed in the gut, turn away from the camera to pull out the blade, then turn back to the camera for a final roar, showing a sexy, unblemished tummy.Speaking of cameras, I bet that most, probably all, this was done with one camera. When they move from wide scene to closeup and back, the action doesn't match up. I could almost hear someone yell "freeze" while they brought the camera up to watch the nurse struggle in her bonds, then cut back and she wasn't moving at all. Same with some closeup snarls and fight-scene detritus.Oh, I did think the lighting was interesting; not especially good, but interesting.

I intended to write this movie a proper review after watching it, but I quickly realised that it's just not worth it.There really is nothing good about this movie, it's just one big turd. The first time that I tried to watch it, I lasted 15 minutes. Then I dared my friends to watch as long as they could, and the most hardboiled daredevil friend I have lasted 20 minutes. But I finally watched it to the end and I can't say that Im happy about doing it. This movie is the definition of awful. So do yourself a favour, don't even think about watching it.Im a big fan of B-movies, but this is just too much. It's not watchable. This is what's bad about the movies: -the acting -the plot -the special effects -the camera angles -the editing -the movie!
