... View MoreStarting with the standard "Tell me about your childhood" question, this documentary follows Ellis' life as a person, and professional comic book author. It goes through most of his publications, praising him like the god of sci-fi comics, and hyping his impact on comic book culture. There's interviews with people he's worked with, friends and family, with a lot of focus on an internet forum he used to host, where people became such good friends that several ended up marrying. As a fan of Ellis' Transmetropolitan, I found this docu to be informative about some of his other works. I have already acquired several that I became interested in checking out, but all in all, this film is far from the greatness of the similar docu about Alan Moore.
