Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

Brilliant film. I do feel like only certain people will enjoy it though. If you are a lucid dreamer or if you have contemplated the meaning of existence for some time, this may be for you.In my opinion the entire film is quoteworthy and also it is one of the few films that I'd easily watch directly again after just having watched it. Technique, music, idea, narrators, filmography, all simply fits. This film is a masterpiece!

I always hoped to see a weaving, quasi-psychedelic, meta-real, surreal animated film that pondered the big existential questions, and this film nails it ... or, maybe the better word would be - envelop. This was one thoroughly satisfying 99 minutes of screen watching. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you like your brew extra-spatial, this is for you. Enjoy.

At first the visuals impressed me, they are really something new and I thought they were well made to transport a philosophical message, but I after half of the movie I realized that's it. This is the movie and it is nothing more than intellectual phrases and opinions, not a movie at all.And it's not like anything that was said is ground breaking new or has been put in great perspective or insight, no, nothing. It's a messy collection of basic philosophical statements and they go just as randomly as they come. They don't build up, tell a story or provoke a special thought. The director covers this mess up by suggesting that he might dream ... yeah wow ...I love philosophy but this movie was absolutely nothing new, it could be for someone who never got in touch with philosophy but in this case I doubt this is what such a person could like. But at least they could say they liked it to impress others. :) I'm giving it 3 stars just for the appreciation of the visuals and the approach of a philosophical genre. Hopefully there will be more such (better made) movies in future.

The most engrossing movie I've watched since a very long time! Richard Linklater picked a very catching subject, the problem of existence which I've been thinking since I was in primary school. The movie is a bombardment of ideas about our modern lives, that's why it makes people say "I've thought about this!" even though they haven't read anything about philosophy before. The use of sounds, animations and colors are very effective. I am sure watching this movie will have an affect on people's life, either small or big. The movie really wake you up in life, it shows you how to realize the things you do every time but never realized before.... Make sure you allow some time to think about it after watching.
