... View MoreVOODOO RISING is the usual 'teens in the woods' horror outing, shot on video on Ohio this time around. Half of the short running time is over before anything even happens and until that point the viewer is stuck with lots of introductory footage and annoying characters hanging around in tents and the like. When the horror content does get featured, it's very tame and non-suspenseful with evil-doers lurking around and the like. There's some mild violence at the climax and that's it. Overall, VOODOO RISING is bland, derivative, and half-baked.
