By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
... View MoreIt is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
... View MoreThis is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
... View MoreI enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
... View MoreI like Jill Clayburn and this is an important issue. However, it's one that has become something of a legal nightmare. I do not know if this particular case turned out to be accurate but I do know that in the climate of drama-driven media, most esp. by Fox, overly zealous prosecutors and unscrupulous politicians, the label of sex offender has become a catchall for men, mostly of all stripes, from the most pathetically harmless to a very small minority of truly dangerous people. The registry itself is bloated beyond belief, men's (mostly) lives have been destroyed, including their families (and children), losing jobs, having to move, some many times, becoming targets of vigilantes. An old man in Florida was murdered with a baseball bat and it was a case of mistaken identity. A young man in Maine was killed. He was 19 when he was placed on the registry because his girlfriend (who was 15) had a father who disapproved of the relationship. This young man and the girl later got married but the man who shot him was out to "get some sex offenders". Stories like this have happened all over the U.S. I am NOT saying there aren't dangerous people out there but many of the so-called "child porn" cases have come from police internet stings that catch naive men, esp. younger ones, dumb/pathetic ones downloading "bundled" porn not realizing there are"Tracy Lorde types" in there...14, 15 yr. old teens who look older. The modern day witch hunt for child predators has caught many in its' indiscriminate bloated net that are not dangerous people, esp. not dangerous to small children. If you care about justice, learn the facts: .. Sex offenses are the EASIEST crimes to falsely accuse someone of. Many prosecutors call them "easy wins". ... ... ... View MoreI lived near the infamous McMartin Daycare and recall the controversy on the investigation, litigation, and long lived disparaging aftermath. I found it tedious and hard to find faith with the legal process. I was most relieved to find this story more redeeming. However, it is very hard to watch without many strong negative emotions. If you have had experience with a pedophile then I suggest you avoid this film, unless you have been successful in therapy and the memories have a lesser impact. The child actors in this film are incredibly mature to portray victims with fear, shame and horror. I hope they were treated well during this agonizing process. Then, you realize there were the actual victims whom one hopes recovered from this abuse. I pray that they have. When someone is so mentally ill, it is hard to pass harsh judgement, but it is necessary to prevent subsequent infractions and instigate laws to further protect future victims.I found it very educational to see how a professional can wield a child's darkest secrets. A parent most typically is deficient in this arena and poses a detriment to find help and recourse for their child. We definitely need this process more widely discussed and distributed.High recommend for strategies to deal with child sexual abuse, laws protecting child witnesses, and overall trust of due process for offenders.
... View MoreLet me start by saying this movie was really good. I like movies that are based on true stories. Now it was very hard to watch. It's always difficult to listen to little children talk about sexual abuse and what was done to them. The thing that really irked me was the acting. It was terrible! I felt like I was watching one of those cheesy after school specials. You know the ones that tell you not to do drugs and stuff. The acting was so corny. And the guy with the stupid pony tail was the corniest of them all. The only decent actors were the small children. They do however warn you in the beginning that the movie is a dramatization but I still wasn't prepared. Overall I did enjoy the movie. I'll probably never watch it again though.
... View MoreThis was one of the best lifetime movies I've ever seen. It was kind of tough to watch, though. I was really impressed with the acting of the kids. I wondered if they understood what they were talking about. At the end of the movie they had a were they are now thing, so I'm guessing it was a true story, which makes it extremely disturbing.
