Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??

I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

The movie runs out of plot and jokes well before the end of a two-hour running time, long for a light comedy.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

I found this movie very racist. I do not wish to raise my children with these stereotypes. I was very disappointed. I am glad I only paid $1.20 from redbox. Every middle eastern stereotype was hit upon in this children's' movie. Wow, how sad! I have to add more sentences it says in order to review this horrible horrible movie, so I guess I will ramble...don't rent Treasure Buddies. It is a bad movie and not good for anyone. Treasure Buddies NSFL! I think it is dumb that I need to type 10 lines to get my review posted.I am on my ninth line of idiocy.How about the tenth? !

I have only one question for parents who have reviewed this movie negatively.Did your child enjoy it? Thank you. Now go back and adjust your star rating, or just delete your comment.The makers of this franchise are not going for Oscars, for heaven's sake, and they never were. Yes, the movie is obviously made in a studio - what do you expect, for it to be shot on location in Egypt? I didn't mind it and my daughter loved it, and since I bought it for her, that's all I care about.

I don't agree with the other posts. I think it was pretty good. Same as the other Buddies movies. We got it on Tuesday. My son loved it! He was so excited to see it and has watched it twice already. He loves the puppies, especially Butter ball. Who is funny.The monkey is funny too. I think that the idea of an adventure in Egypt was pretty cool. A movie that is in an exotic location with the mysticism of an ancient artifact was interesting. I thought it was a cute and kid friendly movie. My husband said he just liked Cleopatra-laugh out loud!I would recommend it if you have little kids. Its just a fun movie. I had read a review that said it was the "indiana Jones" movie for kids, I can agree with that!My son also liked Santa buddies-too cute.

well, the speaking animals were animated okay, the story is a little bit interesting. But thats all. Everything looks really unreal and cheap made. I can't believe it has 9 of 10 stars at this moment. Looks like a movies made i the late 80's, just in HD.My son watched it, for him it was okay. But i expected something better than that, made with more love to the detail. For me it seems like it's just thrown on the market, if the parents like it or not doesn't matter, the kids in Wall Mart will cry as long as they get the DVD / Blu Ray...1 star because at least my son liked it a little bit, but he enjoys other movies more, like all this animated movies and so on.I also found some stuff in the movie what is not really okay for young kids, like the "bad guy" is acting with the guys around him and so on, also the bad animated temple cats were weird.
