The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

Sébastien Pilote is a very promising and talented filmmaker : the way he painted this region (North Canada) with such a sensitivity is very moving. The photography is so good that we can feel the snow and this very particular light of winter. Gilbert Sicotte plays an excellent role in the character of a car dealer who has dedicated his life to something he's not really aware of (to globalization ? to the consumer world ?), and Pilote is very subtle about that, as there is no judgment in his movie.Definitely a filmmaker to follow, I'd love to see this movie again - but for that it need a distributor in France ! And then I'd love to see his next movie as well.
