I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

And it seems to me that to date I haven't seen a scene in which Hilary Duff cries and I believe, but it does not even get a little red eyes! So I hope that in future you do not put more scenes of that type.As for the rest of the film is just an attempt to make box lengthening the pull of the series. I wasn't expecting a movie but something a bit better, there are scenes that gave me a little bit of pain and some of the key characters are missing.Movie fit only for lovers of the Disney Channel TV show.

The entire cast of the Lizzie McGuire Disney Channel television show got parts in this film one way or another as Lizzie's cast goes to Rome. But Lizzie got the adventure of a lifetime there romantically speaking. She gets wooed by Yani Gellman playing an Italian teen idol. The poor girl almost forgets her ideal teen hunk Clayton Snyder.Lizzie McGuire was one of the nicest of the Disney teen comedy shows in the history of the Disney Channel. Hilary Duff was an appealing and wholesome teen role model. And I did like the way that they used to break into those cartoon vignettes very Strange Interlude like when Lizzie wanted to tell us her inner feelings.Definitely a must for fans of the show.

Remember Hilary Duff. She was like the bubbly blonde that was like a cross between Britney Spears and a hint of Mandy Moore. Now she's no where to be seen and I wonder why?.The Lizzie Maguire movie is based off of the Lizzie Maguire show and tells the story of a girl called Lizzie who has an animated version of her when she's thinking about stuff..weird right. So she is finally graduating and with her best male friend Gordo falling for her she goes along with her classmates to the city of Rome. But faith changes for Lizzie where she meets a cute Italian pop star named Paolo played by Yenti Gellman and gets mistaken for his former partner in crime Isabella who is also played by Hilary Duff with a brunette wig....oh JEEZ Hannah Montana anyone?? But is Paolo the greatest singer in the world or not??The story is cutesy and cheesy, the cast is pretty OK I only watch it for Hilary Duff whom I used to be a fan of back when she was in A Cinderella Story,Cheaper By The Dozen and now this movie that's based on the TV series. The plot has been DONE TO DEATH already I mean we've seen this a million times before in The Parent Trap with the twins looking alike,Maid In Manhattan where J-Lo had to pretend to be a guest just to impress some dude, and Monte Carlo where Selena Gomez had to pretend to be a heiress who is ALSO played by Gomez. Do you see what I mean its like that Micheal Buble song Hollywood is OFFICIALLY DEAD.Bottom line if your looking for a cute teen flick to just sit back and enjoy Hilary Duff and seeing Rome then be my guest. For those who hate brainwashing teen flicks then avoid this one. Not the best Disney movie ever but still its pretty average.5/10

I've seen the Lizzie McGuire TV series and I must say, the movie and the series are very different from each other.1) The sound has definitely improved, the TV series's sound was too loud but then it was decreased in the movie! Hmmm, wonder why? 2) The picture quality made remarkable progress, the movie was very high quality and bright and if you compare it to the TV series, boy you can see a huge change! 3) No more funny music! In the TV series, it had this weird, goofy music playing in various scenes, but I'm so glad it didn't in the movie, instead it had very dreamy and fun music (only in special occasions of the movie though!) 4) Lizzie's personality has changed, I mean in the TV series, she's a shy, average American girl, but in the movie I heard her say, "Bye bye, Lizzie McGuire, hello fabulous!" and has became more confident and more happy about herself, which is great! But to bring it to the conclusion, I thought this movie was one of Disney's best work ever! The performances from the cast were brilliant, especially the beautiful Hilary Duff (Lizzie McGuire) and the plot was great, I think it was a little dodgy in some parts, but thankfully not all! And it's so cool they made a movie of Lizzie McGuire, as for me, a typical Lizzie McGuire fan, loved it and hope to see more of her! So are you bored? Have nothing to do? A Lizzie McGuire fan? Then look no further, rent this movie on either DVD/Video, grab the delicious popcorn (and Coke), turn on the TV and get ready for over a hour of fun, excitement and laughs with Lizzie!
