... View MoreReleased in 1998, this spoof on The Godfather featured Barbara Crampton. While it was a delight to see Barbara anywhere, The Godson is pretty terrible. Barbara however was pretty goofy as her character here and that was enjoyable to see. Also featuring Lisa London (H.O.T.S.) and Fabiana Udenio. Both gorgeous and I love them very much just like Barbara.Fabiana had been in Bride of Re-Animator in which the bride was Barbara's Fraternity Vacation co-star Kathleen Kinmont & Barbara had been in the first Re-Animator movie. When Barbara and Kathleen did their infamous scene of taking off their bikinis and becoming very naked in Fraternity Vacation, Roger Ebert in his review of Fraternity Vacation wrote the implication that they were behaving like hookers but in Fraternity Vacation itself it was never stated explicitly that they were members of the oldest profession. In The Godson the Barbara character is stated explicity to be a prostitute but disappointingly is not naked in this movie.Quite a contrast of Barbara being naked in Fraternity Vacation and an implication by at least one reviewer Roger Ebert that she was a hooker and in The Godson stated explicitly that she was a prostitute but was not naked in this movie at all!It goes without saying that I definitely prefer Barbara in Fraternity Vacation than in The Godson.
... View MoreThis is one of the worst films ever made. It ranks up there with the Killer Tomatoes movies. It's absolutely unwatchable for anyone who uses more than 0.1% of his/her brain. It's really, really hard for me to decide what's worst about it: the story, the dialog, the acting, the editing... How some other users here found it funny and even had the guts to recommend watching it is beyond belief unless they hate the rest of us and want to put us thru the same awful torture they underwent. I'm dumbfounded by how Mr. Hoge could possibly find financing to get this wreck shot. If I had read this script beforehand, I would have paid good money to ensure the flick was never made. Maybe that's how he found the financing!!! :)
... View MoreI am glad that I saw this movie so that I may be able to greater appreciate every other piece of cinema that has ever existed. This film did not make me laugh at all throughout it's seemingly endless running time. I fail to comprehend how the stars of this movie, which are all funny guys, could not alter the story at all to make the movie in the least bit humorous. I say this because I know that if Rodney Dangerfield or MacDonald had made any impact on the story, this film would would be infinitely more entertaining. I am able to accurately use the figure of infinity because as it stands, this film's entertainment value is 0, if not less, therefore, any improvement at all would be indeterminably large.

Everyone will not laugh at every joke but the more you see it the more jokes you will get. This silly spoof comedy is smarter than you think it just takes a few times to make it work.
