The Dream of Ivan Trailers

In "The Dream of Ivan" we will see for the first time in history a worldwide selection of soccer stars, a team that brings millions of people watching television, playing against a worldwide selection of ... children! Why? To raise funds to help victims of a terrible earthquake in Africa. This happens many times: that professional teams, or football stars, organize charity matches. What had never happened before is that the game is played by children. The proposal has been an initiative of UNICEF and FIFA.

Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

Sympathetic film about a kid, Oscar Casas , from Spain who is drafted into a footBall team to play against International footballers of The FIFA . As a coach called Torres, Damian Bichir, has to train a misfit group of kiddies facing off professional and adult stars and othe expert trainers as Carmona and Cassari who took the Torres' wife. Meanwhile, Torres falls in love for a beautiful girl , Ana Claudia Talancon who is engaged another person. This is a sport comedy with a silly premise, how a team of motley kiddies have to play a group of expert sportsmen hired around the World. This is a slightly funny flick with amusing as well as embarrassing situations, giggles , emotions and a love story between Damian Bichir and Ana Claudia Talancon . The highlight of the movie results to be the Spectacular and moving final sporting confrontation at a Mexican stadium . It stars the likeable child Oscar Casas who provides a nice acting in spite of his short age. Damian Bichir plays a stiff coach who must teach the rebel children to play well against an adult team.Antonio Resines plays a grandfather who advises and helps Ivan in his aims. Special mention to Ernesto Alterio and Fernando Tejero as two outlandish roles , playing a pair of Tv presenters, parodying the excessive radio anchors. Colorful and evocative cinematography by Joan Benet. Atmospheric and stirring musical score by Alejandro Giacoman . The motion picture turns out to be a Spanish , Argentinean , Mexican coproduction , financed by the great producer Gerardo Herrero , Mariela Besueievski , Andres Calderon , Inna Payán ; being regularly written and directed by the expert on comedies Roberto Santiago and he also made previously other soccer comedy, El penalty mas largo del mundo . This film made me think about life in general. How a young poor boy from Spain could use, only his ambitions and hopes to exceed expectations in an emotional roller-coaster. The plot of the film is a little confusing and pointless; however, the director (Robert Santiago) exerts the emotion superbly therefore the plot goes un-noticed in the end. The characters in this film are played exceptionally well and Oscar Casas is a phenomenal actor and you will definitely see him on the big screen in years to come! The other children equally act very well and make you feel like a child again through their times of mischief and fun. Ultimately the actors and the directors save the poor plot of the film full credit to Robert Santiago. Finally; The film can make anyone believe that with a little hope: anything is possible <3

Great slang from different countries. The subtitles are spot on. The cast reflects the international story and production. The kids look and act like kids. Even the irresponsible adults still show a care and regard for the children. Interesting political undertones of international soccer as a business. while fund raising for UNICEF. The Movie shows some of the nicer parts of Mexico city we do not usually see in the US. The Argentine Soccer reporters have a dynamic that mirrors some of our nutty football commentary in the US. Overall a refreshing Non Disney film devoid of pink, plastic surgery and lip gloss.
