The Descent: Part 2 Trailers

Distraught, confused, and half-wild with fear, Sarah Carter emerges alone from the Appalachian cave system where she encountered unspeakable terrors. Unable to plausibly explain to the authorities what happened - or why she's covered in her friends' blood - Sarah is forced back to the subterranean depths to help locate her five missing companions.

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.

Picking up where the first film left off, Sarah is covered in blood and tracks down a vehicle on the road. As the women are reported missing the sheriff decides to re-enlist Sarah's help and take a cave dwelling team down. The cinematography of the cave sequences is very telling. The creatures are virtually creepy as hell and very well done makeup wise. A couple faults is the grotesque scenes of blood imagery are way off, blood does not look real. The dialogue is basic and story is flat, but the ending leaves the door open for a third installment.

The Descent is a masterpiece of horror- It came out of nowhere and stunned audiences and critics alike. There was no doubt that a sequel had to be made and thus we have The Descent 2 which somehow carries on the legacy of the failed sequel. Yes, there is a cave and there are cave monsters but what is lacking is a soul. This film proves the importance of a deft hand behind the camera and a great screenplay. We still have the cave and the same monsters, yet this is a letdown of a movie.

To me, this part is perfect as the first part. but something so much like Female power in here. and all male is the idiot here. Well, they did have the woman pride here in this movie. But still through I did agree with this movie not so bad as the first one and you needed to put all the best thing in the first movie to see through it. And every strategy here is the karma you pay for your stupidity.-----------------Finally get, why this movie gets the low rate. because of the ending. The ending more like want to get viewer curious for the next movies/book?this ending has been dropping my rate 10 stars to 4 stars. that's not what I am expecting.

I loved almost every bit of this movie, the producers/director either got it right consciously or by mere luck. As a lover of horror movies for a lifetime, this delightful almost parody of the first movie is a guilty pleasure like few other of mine. I love a good camp movie and i loved this movie because it's so cool about it. The gore and violence are enhanced to almost the levels of an early Peter Jackson movie or an Italian 80's gore fest. In fact i couldn't help thinking about how it felt like when the Italian trying to exploit an American hit would make movies like their "Terminator 2", "Alien 2" or "Zombie 2" (Dawn of the dead was called simply "Zombie" in Italy. But this flick is more than that, it has a good solid plot and the actors are believable and play it straight and that's what blew my mind, specially in this era of over serious approach to absurd premises. This movie understands it's preposterous origins and does what it has to do, not a simple continuation of the first one but a fun exaggerated barely tongue in cheek proposal of the original material. I've seen it more than The Descent and will probably do it again in the future.
