StunnaKrypto

Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

The film is okay for a boring evening. That it comes with Netflix is a clear advantage. Otherwise nothing special. The usual white heterosexual American male. You have all the stereotypes. Girl dies. Who cares? We have to regroup. Boy dies, well, that puts the heroes one step closer to death, because, you know, a boy can fight and be creative and stuff. Who gets them into trouble? Well, the girls. Not that the script is much nicer with the Russians. By the end, I was glad there was no KGB agent. So, in a way, this is a much better script than the 2018 New York Times or over the hill senators playing the Cold War game like their daddies.

This movie is atrocious. I'm trying to think of a worst alien movie but I cant. If the makers of this made it any worse it would be humorous like Sharknado which is much better. What were Emile Hirsch and Olivia Thirlby smoking to sign up for this? I downloaded this thinking it was the new movie Darkest hour with Gary Oldman but soon realised I made a huge mistake. The first 10 minutes looked promising but omg is all i can say. I had to fast forward most of it even though its less than 90 mins long because it was unbelievably boring and a load of nonsense. None of the science about electromagnetism or whatever in it made sense. The Russian fighters wearing chains and wires for whatever reason was ridiculous. I cared nothing for the characters, i wished they would all be killed off at the same time as soon as the aliens landed. Its not even worth going through whats wrong with this low budget garbage.

This is bad science fiction. The aliens were the only interesting thing about this movie. The rest of the movie is filled with poor plot twists and annoying characters who serve as a reminder of how easy this world would be to conquer. The human females are relegated to the first half of the film, holding hands and convincing each other that 'you can make it', even as the other one is giving up. The story line is weak. The accents are bad. The acting is sophomoric. I cannot remember the last movie where people fell down so many times just to drive the plot. This movie was a total waste of time, even if it was free to watch. I am so glad that half the world was destroyed, but the Russians were able to fix the girl's phone, so she could phone home and get an answer. What are the odds?
