The Daniel Project Trailers

The Daniel Project puts ancient predictions under a journalistic microscope and examinates of Biblical prophecies attempts to determine how accurately they've predicted modern events such as terrorism, climate change and armed conflict in the Middle East. If false, the Bible is discredited. If true, there are rough times ahead.

A few mates came round the other night with this film on DVD. Somebody had been telling one of them about it and he checked it out online, then decided to buy it. It's not the kind of thing I would normally watch but there wasn't much else on so I thought well why not. We started watching it and to be honest I thought it was going to be a load of twaddle, but the more I watched the more interested I became. Anyway, after it had finished we all talked about what we had seen in the film, things we knew about, things we didn't know. We sat up to the early hours discussing it, life in general and basically why are we here. Regardless of whether this is a good movie or not, it got us talking for days afterwards. Not many films do that these days. I would recommend you watch it and make your own decisions about it.

This is one of the most thought provoking documentaries I have seen. The claims postulated by the film can be easily verified, a quick google search or the reference of a bible, will lead you undeniably to understanding the film has in no way twisted predictions to fit the current environment. I went and done my own research and discovered it is exactly how the Bible says it will happen, it's not vague like Nostradamus, or manipulated like Zeitgeist. This simply shows you what was written over 2000 years ago and shows you the evidence for it now. This film left me wanting to know more, which as lead me to study the subject further and I am convinced this is a warning. So many people take offence at such documentaries but keep an open mind and do the research for yourself.

This film really made me ask a lot of questions. I have watched it 3 times because there is so much in it - it is very simple but clever. Jesus gave the signs of the end of the world as we know it and an atheist presenter took a look at these predictions backed up by several others from the bible. I was not brought up to be a Christian and this is all new and exciting to me because it makes sense of the world we are living in now. It is also refreshing as there are hundreds of other programs that dis the subject - this is really different. I love it! It is scary but really cool that if it was predicted and it has happened then at least I know what's coming and can prepare. By the way, I disagreed with the one star review because I checked and this documentary is made by a professional company and and has lots of interviews with experts so I find that weird that the person wrote that.

What an odd little "documentary", I don't really see the point of it unless someone had bought a video camera and some editing software and wanted to have a play at making a movie to learn how to use both. In fairness, the journalistic standards of the program probably stack up against the credibility of most of what passes for journalism these days. I have no problem with the Biblical stuff but put some effort into "proving" the authenticity/viability of the predictions, don't just say "The Bible says that the wine will flow from the deserts ... and look, there are vineyards in Israel and they make some tasty wine. Science!!!" "People will be greedy and not very pleasant to one other." Tell me one period in history when people haven't been greedy and unpleasant to one another? Where are the Biblical scholars, the theologians, the historians, geologists, sociologists, archaeologists, language experts?
