Best movie ever!

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

The only thing I want to point out is that writer/producer is German, so the comment about Americanization is out of line. The movie wasn't canon or great but I've seen worse interpretations of Tarzan. Other people were put off by the science fiction aspect, but there were examples of science fiction in some of ERBs stories. (After all, he did give us Barsoom.)

I don't want to use the term "ripoff", but this is a ripoff of the Tarzan movie I grew up with. At least the Disney version had a much better Soundtrack. How could anyone dumb down a movie with such a terrible, non-upbeat soundtrack that doesn't sound as happy as the one I liked as a kid?This is unacceptable. People, don't watch this version. It's just a stupid parody version. Nothing can replace the soundtrack that was offered in the Disney version. That's what I loved. And they ruined it. If anyone wants the good version, go see the Disney version. It's a whole lot better than this.

This is an awesome movie! I do agree that the Disney one is better but, it is better Than some other movies. But what I don't like about this movie, is that there is so many deaths in it. One or two deaths is enough. But still very interesting and I would watch it again. But next time you make another Tarzan movie, try not to make it too sad but make it still interesting to watch. In my opinion this is a great movie and I do think you should watch it. But I don't like it how there is more music than speaking in the movie. I would totally recommend the ages of 9-14 to watch this, because this film dose contain violence. I will give this movie an 8 out of 10 just for those negative reasons I have explained.

Loved this film bought it for my 5 yr old daughter, really for me have read most of the Tarzan stories and loved this version, far superior to Disney, Believable characters very true to source material updated for 21st century.Other reviews complain about extra terrestrial storyline. Original e r b stories had that and more. Hidden cities advanced civilization. Mars etc.Look to the Tarzan comics you will see this, the original stories had elements of time travel, Tarzan himself and Jane became immortal.
