Highly Overrated But Still Good

Admirable film.

Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.

This film is underrated! I've watched it at least 10 times and I discover a new part of a scene each time. I wish the running time was a little longer. Jodi annoys me...it's her face! Read the production notes on the making of Take Care. There were some major production obstacles for this small set. I love Leslie Bibb after seeing this film. She's adorable, yet not afraid to look the part nd has great timing. Great acting, great chemistry with the exes. It is a film to watch over and over. Always puts me in a better mood. This is my first review and I have to say this is a film that just resonates. Love the neighbor, sister is so typical, right? Acting is fluid and the only character that isn't believable is Jodi. Seriously, she is so annoying.

This movie is not rocket science, but it is a significant step above most of the romantic drivel out there. I really liked the two leads; at first, I wasn't sure I liked either, but they became very likable characters and had excellent chemistry. I appreciated that both characters' unlikeable- ness at the beginning made contextual sense in the plot, and that they didn't just have a 180 degree change of personality, but developed into softer people as their situations changed. The girlfriend was a bit one-dimensional, and it always annoys me when the romantic lead's significant other -- who is clearly destined to be given the boot -- is so despicable that there's no conceivable way the lead would actually be dating this person. But she was nonetheless entertaining, so not all bad. I also thought the next door neighbor was well scripted and acted. I would easily watch this again - fun movie.

"Take Care" is a very cute comedy film from 2014. It is currently available on NetFlix Instant Download Streaming. It is an independent film directed by Liz Tuccillo and also written by her as well. The actors include Leslie Bibb, Tracee Chimo, Kevin Curtis, Nadia Dajani, Betty Gilpin, Michael Gordere, Marin Ireland, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Thomas Sadoski, Michael Stahl-David and Tim Wu. The story is a romantic comedy. There is a young woman who is injured in a car accident, so she is unable to walk or care for herself. She convinces an ex boyfriend to assist her in her routine activities. He is currently with another woman, so there is a rift in relationships. It is a little slow, but I gave it 6 stars. As one other reviewer said, I was expecting a more heavily emotional plot line from the description, but should have known that this movie would be as fun, clever and cute as it is, since it was penned (and directed) by Liz Tuccillo, who writes about relationships better than just about anyone. Great chemistry between leads Bibb and Sadoski--in fact, all the actors do a great job. This story is like a microcosm of a relationship--the entire film takes place mostly in Frannie's (Bibb) claustrophobic NYC fourth-floor walk-up, a perfect metaphor for how trapped she is after a car accident keeps her bedridden for weeks. The best things about the film: the unexpected freshness of the character development and plot, the charm of the leads, the whip-crack dialogue. As a couple of reviewers said, not a weighty or convoluted story, but a really lovely examination of human nature and the nature of love. I smiled most of the way through, laughed out loud a lot, and was left thinking about the movie after it finished
