... View MoreBeautiful, moving film.
... View MoreWhile it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
... View MoreThis is the nicest comedy I've ever seen. It has soo much fun, jokes and silly moments that you'll enjoy. I could not stop laughing at these movie.. but, it has some romantic moments too.. I think that this is such a nice movie for girl's night out or even for a date.
... View MoreI like body switch-a-roo movies (Freaky Friday, many others) and this seemed like a good choice. Both Samaire Armstrong and Kevin Zegers have impressive resume's for being so young, so they should have dazzled through this upper middle-class ditzy comedy with ease. They don't.The plot is very predictable but solid. The problem is an over-the-top deluded script that no actor of any talent could ever deliver convincingly. People in real life just don't talk like that. Completely unbelievable. The screen play itself also delivers an immense amount of visual clichés that grew tiresome after 30 minutes.I did find myself having some genuine laughs here and there, but as soon as it looks like the story is about to take off, it just sinks again. The light at the end of the tunnel only keeps disappearing.I believe this movie would be highly entertaining for teens and pre-teens, but I think most adults will easily dismiss it as undeveloped rubbish. Not a 'bad' film per-say, just one that fails to launch.
... View MoreAn up-tight, straight-A student swaps bodies with her diametrically opposite in the form of the popular quarter back. Antics unfold as the two are forced to (literally) spend sometime walking in the others shoes.Variations of this theme have been done before in "Big", "All of me" and of course "Freaky Friday."The format lives or dies by the actors and how effectively and how humorously they can enact the transposition. It worked for me, the characters were interesting and I became embroiled in their personal issues. I also liked the actors and was impressed with their skill and the direction. At the end of the day this is a teen flick which has to serve a specific audience. It has the obligatory dose of teen angst and goofy comedy. But this all works well and I found it highly enjoyable.Good Film Flex fodder
... View MoreA overachieving but cute girl and a hot stupid school jock are neighbors, hating each other as long as they have known. Blah, blah, blah, they argue and bicker in front of some mystical statue at a museum (seriously you'd think people in movies would have figured it out by now ). Anyways, the next morning the two wake up and find out that they have switched bodies.Considering that this is a teenish movie, this isn't very typical teen they take some pretty drastic moves in hating each other whilst in each other's body ***SPOILER** like threatening to lose the other's virginity.Damn considering the main star of the movie looks very much like a Zac Efron genre of guy and the girl looks a bit out of place and that this is the most overused movie plot of all movie plots, this movie actually wasn't that bad. I didn't cringe with hate or have horrible flashbacks.Looking past all the girl and boy jokes, I surprisingly entertained, and didn't mind the whole body switchero thing The ending was a bit confusing ( do mean the 20 seconds before the credits), but whatever
