The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

I am a real follower of all the Step Up saga, but this movie is the worst of all of them, and the culprit is not from the dancers/actors.I know most of them are dancers so is easy to understand than in some parts the film is not as good as if some actors did it. So far so good, this film has the best dances moves and for me is the best of all the saga in terms of the dancing moves and songs. But there is a enormous error in this film, and it's the production. The director and stuff people did not take care of little details that are extremely important in this kind of films. There are a ton of errors typical from really amateur people, and not good and normal for the 3rd movie of the saga. This has get me extremely sad knowing that this details could make the film to not be the perfect film it should be.On the newer films these details where more controlled and as far as I could see, there is not error on the new ones, that's a good point. For example and as a small details:* Moose and Camille starts to dance them famous song in the street, who much loud does the car sounds that can across easily all the street?* When Moose get in trouble with the Samurais and he fells to the floor, he lose him hat, and just one second after, the guys help him to stand up he already has the hat again on him head. * Final battle, Julien is holding chains, and in one of the camera views he has the jacket with him, and in the other one he has not jacket. This happens 4 times in less than 8 seconds. * On the end of the film, Natalie is speaking the crew, and then Luke appears holding a box with the shoes he gives later to Moose. Did already Luke know the crew went to be there? I don't think so.* On the battle in the Chinese stage, after Moose get all the floor full of water, even before he starts to dance, he and some of the Pirates members are already fully wet, all the clothes, the hair, when all the water was in the floor and they did not start to dance yet. Here are some examples and maybe I forget a few more of them, but I had to share them. Wish all this helps to prevent future errors in the new film for 2016, and thank you for bringing us this amazing story. Good luck!

(Credit IMDb) A tight-knit group of New York City street dancers, find themselves pitted against the world's best hip hop dancers in a high- stakes showdown. They decided to take a supporting character like Moose from the second sequel, and make him a main focus here. Believe it or not… it didn't turn out too bad! Like the first two movies. Some of the dancing is extremely impressive. It has an OK love story between Rick Malambri & Sharni Vinson. The formula is starting to get a bit tiresome though. How much mileage can you possibly get out of dancing films, before they start to get old? I didn't mind this movie at all, but signs of being stale were very apparent here in my opinion. If you can't guess the ending of this movie, then you haven't seen enough moviesFinal Thoughts: I thought it was alright. It passed the time decently, but I wished they would have stopped the train here. 5.6/10

"Step Up 3" is about a young man who has to keep his dance team alive by winning the World Jam, as he needs the prize money to pay the mortgage payments.Even though there are so many dance films around, "Step Up 3" still manages to be different and deliver that wow factor. In some dance films, the dance scenes are so contrived that they exist just for existing. However, in "Step Up 3" they are pieced together very well, and the dances flow with the story. The story is engaging, despite a little formulaic. The positivity and vibrancy is infectious, and it is quite satisfying to watch people working hard to fulfilling their dreams. The dance moves amaze me as usual, and this time the extra lighting effects on the costumes to provide the extra wow factor. I enjoyed watching "Step Up 3", and I hope there will be more "Step Up" films to come.

All right, so reading some of the absolutely appalling reviews about this movie, I just want to ask...what did you think you were going to watch? You're not watching this in hopes of watching an Oscar winner. This is just one of those movies where you're watching for the jaw-dropping dance moves which is totally enhanced by the use of 3D.I absolutely LOVED it. I went in, expecting the cheese dripping dialogue, the "deep" conversations and cardboard acting. The DANCE is the reason I shelled out the $13 in ticket price and 3D glasses. The haters need to stop their crying. They should have known better about what they were going to watch.-R
