The movie's only flaw is also a virtue: It's jammed with characters, stories, warmth and laughs.

Well... Actually I hate thrillers, but this one has something positive still. This movie has a good script, at least 1/2 of it, I tell you that, and everything looks pretty realistic. The actors play well, one can definitely feel both tension and despair. The beginning is an everyday story, so it makes you think it could have happened to anyone. This is a nice thing I love about films: an everyday, ordinary story with ordinary people and ordinary details. Afterwards it gets more complicated. Maybe now It is time I turn to more critics. Generally, I was expecting something more terrifying than just derelicts. Some mutants, maybe, or vampires. But no matter, no matter. Now the story turns to a less realistic one anyway: thousands of people disappear every year just because of three aggressive homeless persons and a kid? Really? Concerning the main characters - towards the end they begin to act in a less reasonable way as the story fades. I mean, couldn't they just fight more or less when they were in higher numbers and not to wait until the enemy eliminates them all one by one? This is just one question, and I am sure, there are more... That is all about the story so far. Music: was it there? I think, not. Camera: good work, cameraman, no problem there. Decorations: poor, but OK. Effects: that decapitation was a piece of cake! Unfortunately, this was the only effect worth of mentioning. Conclusion: The film is entertaining, but not more. Not for high expectations.

After getting stranded in a subway tunnel late one night, a group of friends find themselves in the clutches of a cannibalistic group of dwellers living in the area and must find a way to get out of the situation before they become food for the beings. On the whole this was a total disappointment since it has a lot going for it. One of the best parts here is the fact that the film crams a lot of action into here which really makes this one a lot of fun, with a creepy location and a realistic scenario coming into play for a lot of times here. The early set-up for getting stuck here in the tunnel is quite plausible but gets this settled on the action early on as they race through the darkened tunnel with the howling, yelling group right on their heels, the encounter with the others at the abandoned station is insanely suspenseful utilized the darkness and the decrepit set-up quite well while also managing to get some good gore gags in here while setting up the later attacks nicely, and the series of extended, extra- long foot-chases through the remaining tunnels here makes for a fun time. As well, the several confrontations in their lair are great fun here with the howling dogs, the demented behavior of the cannibals as well as bringing in some really suspenseful scenes as they try to remain undetected to escape while the second one there is a frantic, brutal series of brawls that get the frenzied action quite well. This one also manages to really work nicely here in the darkened tunnels and the different cannibals which are quite creepy-looking and imposing, creating an all-around chilling looking when combined with the rather nice blood-letting here makes up this one's positives which is a shame since this one really should've been a lot of fun but instead is a huge missed opportunity. This one is really damaged by the film's incessant and unyielding love affair with a shaking camera that goes on during each of the big action sequences, rendering them to a mostly incomprehensible blur and making it impossible to tell what's going on. Since it's so dark in the area to begin with, this makes its biggest scenes a rather indistinguishable mess that cuts off the selling point of the film and the moment you want it to happen the most and really hurting this one overall. Combined with its rather offbeat pace where it tends to drag when it's dealing with a totally uninteresting cast yet race by when dealing with the confrontations as well as far too much fake sentiment that doesn't do anything, these flaws are enough to hold it down when it didn't need them.Rated R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, Brief Nudity and mild sexual content.

It is hard to review this movie because you can't see much of it. Way to much of the X-treme shaky camera, perhaps because Toby, the DP, thought he was working on Tremors (a drunken rehab film)which required him to go through a specialty course in dipsomania photography.Hint: When you really don't have a film, shake the camera a lot and draw attention to the camera not the plot. "Look mom, I can shake the camera and not hold it still, even for a second". Mom: "Good job, Toby, now go out into the world and make films".That and the 'subway' dark lighting scheme, means you couldn't see a thing or make out an image because of poor lighting and way overuse of shaky cam. Shaky cam plus bad lighting equals crap footage. The story was about a couple of 'stag' guys stranded with a couple of strippers in the tubes of NYC while being pursued by several 'inbred tunnel rats'. That is the high concept summary. So don't waste your time on this stinker. Go rent Wrong Turn 1 & 2 instead. They are far superior films about hillbilly inbreds. The director and cinematographer need to take Horror Movies 101.1) Try and have sympathetic characters. None of the charactersin this movie should remain alive at the end. Did I actuallyroot for the 'tunnel rats'...I forgot.2) Always and I mean always have the chicks in tight, cleavageshowing clothes. Stag Night actually even hasstrippers, but covers them up like they were nuns. Bad decision.3) Use and employ make up artists. It is amazing what they cando (as in Wrong Turn). Here the make up was so bad, I wonderif they just got some local bums to do the role. You never really saw them indicating a cover up for poor make up job.4) Have a plot somewhat unique and different from the hundredsof others before you. Simply ripping off Wrong Turn does notmake a good film.5) Use your setting to your advantage. Camera was so shaky I wonder if they shot in a tunnel or someone's living room. This could have been a great chance to really use the wonderfultunnels of NYC and all the weirdness and wonder they contain.6) Maintain tension and relief. This film does neither.

that's what the people in this movie are thinking. This is a below average gory, chase, killer, movie with psycho hobos instead of monsters. It's about 6 people whom get stuck in the subway tunnels of New York City. All they have to do is walk to the next station, but that's easier said than done when you run into 3 crazed hobos. They see the hobos kill with no mercy and even find their way to the hobos hideout. There we get a dose of even more gore as the hobos bring back 2 of their friends they already killed. What's silly is these people are able to run in the tunnels but yet seem to be going in circles? Are the subway stations really that far apart? FINAL VERDICT: This is a frat house type of movie where you can take a drink every time something disgusting happens. Not a great horror movie, skip it.
