When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

Spiderbabe (2003) * 1/2 (out of 4) Softcore take-off on Spiderman has Misty Mundae playing Patricia Porker, a social outcast who is bitten by a radioactive spider, which turns her into a crime fighter as well as lesbian lover. These low-budget softcore movies are usually good for a quick laugh and some cheap sex scenes and this here is really no different. Whereas Sam Raimi's films relied on special effects, this one here just needs constant lesbian scenes and the only effect is that our crime fighter can shoot spider webs from between her legs. For the most part this is a pretty silly movie that features some awful direction that really never adds any energy or excitement. I think the biggest problem with the film is that there's simply no good pacing and even though it runs just 88-miutes it feels twice as long. The story itself is a pretty silly one and the dialogue is horrible but you really can't blame the screenplay too much since it's obvious that the most important thing were the sex scenes. The sex scenes happen at least every three or four minutes and for the most part they are lesbians scenes. The only decent thing in the movie are a few of the sexual fantasies that our hero has while she's still playing the outcast. The sex scenes are clearly the best thing here with the standout being the one between Misty and Darian Caine who plays her best friend. SPIDERBABE is certainly going to mainly appeal to fans of Mundae but others might get a few cheap thrills out of its campy nature.

This is a fantastic meditation on eroticism, pleasure and spiders... It had more spiders than Cronenberg's Spider, and more Babe than Pig in the City. The special effects are AWESOME, and it should be nominated for an Academy Award, when the time comes.A young woman's inner struggle, between loving men and women, is beautifully portrayed with irony and humour. We have all been there. Ultra right conservatives will scream, but this might as well be the best feminist film of this era.Funny, yet profound, entertaining, yet utterly important, this film is a wonderful portrait of a generation without a future and it is an allegory of the current situation, home and abroad.Rent it. You won't regret it.

Sure, this film was retarded. But you expected that the moment you looked at the cover-box. It's a B movie, and on the T&A factor this movie delivered. Truthfully, it was funnier than expected. While it was by no means a work of comedic genius, like "The Party Animal" or "Orgazmo", as far as B movies go it was worth the watch, if you're into that sort of thing anyway.Christians and morally-oriented parental groups, this is soft-core adult entertainment. If you don't want your children watching sexual content and nudity, then you should keep your children away from this film.

Childish storyline ripped off of a lame Hollywood movie, terrible acting, cheesy dialogue, and not quite "up-to-par" sex scenes. That's right another great softcore parody! I enjoyed this film greatly! Sure the acting is terrible, but that part of the fun! The storyline is ludicrous, but some things must be sacrificed when the story has to revolve around girl-on-girl sex scenes. And because it's only softcore (no penetration) the sex scenes were a little bland. But it's like the great god of softcore smut Russ Meyers said "who really cares what goes down beneath the waist." I don't know if I'd agree with Mr. Meyers on this one but what the hell... the flick entertained me for an hour and a half. I give it a C+, it would've been a solid B if they coulda cast more of the girls to look like Russ Meyers actresses. VaVoom! VaVoom!~
