While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

... View MoreA clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
... View MoreFuturistic wall mounted keyboards. Killed actress that suddenly returns to life just a couple scenes later in a different role. Gotta love the railing system and I fully support and endorse the railing system. The biceps on Ryder - enough said! Move, move! Go, go! Repeated 10,000 times ;) Those futuristic buggies they ride around in. Is walking not faster? The amount of missed shots on Ryder when he is standing still. Kelgons evil laughing scenes ;) The dancing and seduction in the dance party scene ;) The work meeting where they actually get something done. And what was the point of the Bellarians again? Lol. Where is space mutiny part 2 the revenge of Kelgon. We need this :)
... View MoreA pilot is the only hope to stop the mutiny of a spacecraft by its security crew, who plot to sell the crew of the ship into slavery. This film has been pushed to the Bottom 100 by Mystery Science Theater fans. And maybe it deserves to be there. The acting is bad, the effects are terrible, and the editing and continuity are sloppy to say the least. But it seems unfair to call it a "bad" movie when it happens to be so much fun.The Enforcer cars? Awesome. The railing deaths? Great, even if they go well into the double digits. Most of the dialogue makes little sense, and some plot elements go nowhere. But there is a sense of fun through it all. The only thing that made me disappointed was the claim it was from "AIP", which made me think American International. That was a false assumption on my part.
... View MoreThe actor who played the hero and the heroine in this movie actually did marry, and yes: she's YOUNGER than he is! Appearances do deceive.John Phillip Law is bad. G-d, is he bad in this one. His performance is a black hole in this film. The plot has no holes; it is one.Why are the people on this spaceship? What is the purpose of the journey? Why do dead characters come back to life? Where was continuity? Why was this actress used? Didn't she go to TCU? Incidentally, she ages much better than he did. Look them up on IMDb.I hope I came up with 10 lines.
... View MoreThis was NOT one of those "B for Bad" FUN films to watch. This is a bad bad bad film. It looks like it was made for about a $2000. The cast is made up of out-of-work lead actors, jocks, and lead actor family members. The film was produced by Cameron Mitchell's wife (the show lead) and his blond daughter plays the sex kitten role in this LLLLOOOOoooonnnnggggg film. John Phillip 'Barbarella' Law badly plays the one baddie in the film. The film jacket says, "Breathtaking special effects from the team that brought you Star Wars." ILM....Really ??!!!? It doesn't look like it. It only looks like Universal TV's Battlestar Galactica. A veritable 'Who's That' of acting? Also, film jacket says, "The enormous 'Southern Star' spacecraft faces destruction from within from the evil Kalagan and his men take control through a violent and explosive mutiny. Kalagan's plan: scrap the ship and sell the passengers into slavery. Only one man (Reb Brown) has the strength and courage to lead the fight against the mutineers. Armed with laser cannons and neutron grenades, he leads the Commander's daughter and a handful of soldiers into a blasting battle against Kalagan and his brutal forces." Man, you people are actors - act like you have two brain cells to rub together.
