The Worst Film Ever

Just what I expected

It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

I'm giving this a two only because I liked Cameron Mitchell's costume. He wore the better clothes. Some of the rest was a joke. This movie was stupid. The story line/screenplay made no sense. Did anyone review this before it was sent out? Obviously not. The editing was bad. It was filled with continuation errors. The list goes on. Why would someone make this mess? We watched this through the Mystery Science Theater Thanksgiving Special. That helped and the cast and crew may thank that TV Show for the free promotion.The murdered girl just goes back to work right afterwards and she is never brought up again. Practically some twerking from our heroine there, in the club scene. And there's the others who happily drink a toast to their ship being bombed. SMH

I know that not many people like this movie, but I have to say that i love this films. Sure, it is not a good movie, but a movie does not have to be good, in order to be awesome, and this movie is just absolutely awesome. Now what makes this film so enjoyable is the man himself, Reb Brown, not many people know who this man is, but he is one of the coolest actors ever, and that is because he is the greatest over actors ever! I can safely say, that if Reb Brown was not in this film, I would not have enjoyed it, as much as i did. Everything about this movie is completely over the top, the story, the acting, everything, it is just absolutely pure entertainment, and not many movies have the entertainment value that this film has, films like the Godfather, or Goodfellas are considered some of the best films ever made, but neither of them, or films that are considered the best films ever made, are as entertaining as this film. If you are a person who loves these bad movies, the you should buy it, it is just awesome!

No doubt, this is the Plan 9 of the 80's. I watch this over and over again. A great MST3k too... although the film is so hilarious by itself, i think the bots get into a stunned funk.My five's (not kidding... these are TRUE);Spaceship interior is some old factory interior, with square paned windows with sunlight streaming in. The floor wax chase scene in the factory. complete with crashing, exploding and then burning-- floor waxer. Dead crew woman who comes back to life next scene. Dozens and dozens of people killed by toppling over railings in the factory. So many more... read all the comments here from b-movie and MSTies and laugh your buns off!

This movie is by far my absolute favorite of all time. For me it is the most intelligent, philosophical and high-brow science fiction movie since "2001"! It simply is the "Citizen Kane" of SF and I wonder why it was not even nominated for an Oscar."Space Mutiny" has a more fantastic and innovative story than "Star Wars" and more emotion than "Love Story". It's an amazing, fantastic, breathtaking movie about the mysteries of life, love, space and time.But the best of it are the special effects: In an unique act of humanity it took away hard work of dozens of effect specialists by simply borrowing nearly all effects by "Battlestar Galactica". For that brilliant idea alone it deserves an Academy award!
