Let me just say one thing first, I LOVE this movie! its actually on my top 10 favorite cartoon movies list, and that's a hard list to get on! This movie is perfect, the story is enticing, animation is breathtaking, the characters are extremely likable and memorable, and the music is soul feeding.i have seen this movie with my siblings at least twice every year since we were kids, and let me tell you why. First i am heavily affected by the nostalgia this movie gives me, but i do want to give an honest review. This movie is basically a road trip movie, Sinbad and his crew fight monsters everywhere they go, just like the original Sinbad stories, but the plot delivers a swashbuckling adventure with likable antiheroes, with Sinbad going through physical tests but also tests of character, that feels so relatable. The characters are hilarious, there's like 10 people we see through out the movie, and each one of them catches your attention instantly, Sinbad is a very awesome likable antihero played by Brad Pitt, who is known for those kind of roles, his voice blends perfectly with the cartoon, his crew are all equally funny, special mention goes to the ones named Kale and Rat. But the female lead/love interest named Marina played by Catherine zeta Jones, steals the show, shes an ambassador not a princess, but she is engaged to Sinbad's long lost best friend prince Proteus, at first she seems like a calm and polite woman, but as soon as she gets on the ship she proves to be a feisty, adventurous snarky heroine, who is equally as bad ass as Sinbad. And the best character is Eris, the goddess of chaos played by Michelle piferer, probably one of the most sexy animated women ever, and one of the best villains I've ever seen, basically she wants to see the world burn. The animation is very amazing, the characters are traditional 2d, but they fight against 3d monsters, which look a little outdated, but still awesome, the backgrounds are marvelous, sometimes you just want to pause to look at them. And probably what makes this movie so epic is the music, it just captures you in the moment and makes you feel all sorts of emotions, especially at the end. My sisters, and i guess i do too, love Sinbad and marinas romance, despite it being a week or 2, like a Disney couple, it feels far more natural, its obvious from the get go, that Sinbad, secretly likes marina but he hides it with a funny sexist, macho attitude, you definitely feel the sexual tension when they argue or when their working together, their dialogue together is very mature and realistic, and when they finally say I love you, it is heart wrenching, and when they finally kiss you are flooded with emotions, at least that's what my sisters and my girlfriend tell me. But whats most interesting about their relationship, its complex, marina is already engaged to a really nice prince who also loves her, but its not technically a love triangle, since hes stuck in prison the whole movie, so you don't know if you can agree with it, in fact Sinbad actually says he left his friend because he was jealous of him getting marina, and didn't want to cause a love triangle. And during the voyage he tries really hard not to give into his feelings, because his friend is waiting for marina to return. Even the villain tells him how wrong that is, and how that makes him a bad guy, I've never seen anything like this in any other kids film. But when marina admits she loves Sinbad, you feel happy for them like their love is real. When marina does return, Proteus gives them both his blessing and is not bitter in any way. And let me just say when Proteus is about to be executed, the tension increases, luckily Sinbad returns, despite everyone even the audience doubting he would, throughout the movie he is constantly asked, " is he a thief or a hero, and will he accept responsibility for his crimes and die for it", amazingly he does, and then in the most heart wrenching scene, he prepares himself to die, saying goodbye to marina and his friends, looks at the ocean one last time, as their about to cut off his head! but the execution is stopped at the last sweat dropping second by the villain.I just cant shut up! Lets just end this with, this movie is very underrated and deserves more attention. The action and music is awesome, the romance and drama is mature and emotional, the animation is breathtaking, and it has a strong moral message throughout. I love how both the male lead and female lead are equally bad ass, and i think the voice acting is better than most Disney films. Truly a masterpiece by dream works, that deserves your attention and viewing.

I really liked the fact, Brad Pitt was involved in this movie along with Catherine Zeta-Jones and of course, the beautiful Michelle Pfeiffer. You just have to laugh at this film even if some parts were more frightening then others. I never got around watching this movie until I saw this last night and was blown away!It was interesting to hear that there really was a man named Sinbad but I suppose, he wasn't as sleazy as the character in this movie. I say, he would've been a rather hard working pirate who had no time for nonsense and got on with his work as a boss of the ship. It's too bad Dreamworks aren't making any more 2-D films because the 3-D films aren't really that great and not easy enough to enjoy!

a real, real good film. for the beautiful animation. for the smart manner for remind an old hero. for the science to be perfect choice for the kids but, in same measure, for the adults. for the large circle of nuances and emotions and drops of fairy tale, romance and fascinating fights, myth and moral values. for a credible Sinbad. and for the powerful flavor of childhood in right tone, with precise force. a film who explores all in a lovely manner. the result - it seduces in a special form . and that fact is its secret ingredient - to be a splendid breathtaking travel . one of animations who has a high level. for the original story. for the credible characters. and, sure, for the actors

All set to steer a course for Fiji, the immoral Arabian sailor Sinbad (Pitt) is waylaid by Eris, Goddess of Chaos (Pfeiffer), and framed for stealing the priceless 'Book of Peace' - which she has squirreled away in her hellish domain of Tartarus. Or, as Sinbad puts it: "I meet Eris, she's got a major crush on me - and she's invited me back to her place." Sinbad and crew have just 10 days to retrieve the book or former childhood pal and heir to the throne of Syracuse, the noble Prince Proteus (Fiennes), will be executed in his place.Joining the not-so-happy band is Marina (Zeta-Jones), Proteus' betrothed, principally there to ensure our anti-hero fulfils his mission to the ends of the Earth and beyond. However, she soon proves herself more than a match for Sinbad, along with the mythological monsters - including seductive sirens and a murderous Roc bird - the mischievous Goddess has placed in their path. For those nursing fond childhood memories of Ray Harryhausen's 'Dynamation' flicks, Dreamworks' take on the sailor man may come as something of a let-down. Certainly, it sunk with barely a ripple Stateside, the third major 2-D animated feature to do so after The Road To El Dorado and Treasure Planet. And Sinbad does look rather flat at times, despite some ingenious blending of traditional artwork and CGI, especially 'when Sirens attack'.Yet the 'adult-accommodating' Rat Pack-style wisecracks between the curiously camp shipmates ("Get a shirt on before you poke someone's eye out!" Sinbad admonishes his large-nippled helmsman) become tiresome pretty quickly. However, well-developed character relationships - the tumultuous pair-off between Marina and the eponymous rogue in particular - just about elevates this one above formula. The noticeable lack of a histrionic Phil Collins or Elton John ballad also helps, while Pfeiffer, in full-on Catwoman mode, is a treat, bringing to the role her unsurpassed mix of exquisite evil and playful sexuality. The ending, unexpected and surprisingly moving, may even have you surreptitiously wiping a little tear away.
