Curse of Forgiveness was filmed within one production window with Chalice of Blood and their PG-13 counterparts, A Child of Fire and The Scargiver. Unlike traditional director's cuts, Curse of Forgiveness, like Chalice of Blood, was filmed from the beginning to fit an R-rated, extended script, while the PG-13 films follow a lighter version of the same plot meant to reach a broader audience.
