it is finally so absorbing because it plays like a lyrical road odyssey that’s also a detective story.

Watched it 18 times. What a great movie. Loved by my family. Politics, betrayal, enmity at its best. Great dialogue-writing. Superb acting. Thanks RGV

Ram Gopal Varma and Manohar Bhandarkar have to save the Hindi Cinema from these Three Idiots from Filthystan. These scum suvvar rats who are put up on a pedestal by the Mumbai Media who are also from Filthystan. The Rat who looks like a shrunk prune wearing a designer armor is an ugly suvvar scum who has spent the money from the poor on outside India and this lowlife should be put in the same cell as Kasab. Then we have the midget who makes Anti Indian movies. Then we have the ape who has jello for brain. Looks like these three were released from some zoo in Filthystan. These maderchat benchods should be cleaning the toilet of RGV. The three scums should be kicked back to sewer them came from before they pollute the Indian cinema. The movie is well made with the behind scene look at the Media which is the most corrupt since most of the suvvar rats are fed by the Three Idiots and so only movies are recommended. These benchods have not integrity or morals as in the two sons here. The movie has some good acting by Bachchan and few others. This is not the best movie from Varma but there are some tell tale signs of his stamp.

I just had to write a short review. Rann tries successfully to show how the media can become a PR tool, wittingly/unwittingly, in the hands of those who seek only self gain. Rather than reporting news, the media is creating news. Rann tells it's story very convincingly and had me gripped from about 10mins in till the very end. Most of the actors (main and supporting) portrayed their characters very well; there isn't a main 'hero' as such. The actor who plays Jay didn't quite do the role justice; it lacked conviction. Ritiesh Deshmukh gives the most mature performance I've seen of him so far. What sticks with me is how far desire for wealth and power will take people; it took Jay much further than he foresaw. For serious story telling Rann is a most see.

I had never expected much of this film before going to watch it, and well when I did watch it, It turned out to be worse than I would have thought. The acting performances are pathetic except for Amitabh and Paresh Rawal. The music is the worst my ears have ever experienced. The subject is good though, but the script isn't strong enough. I cant think of how people have given it so high ratings. If you like movies like: Blue, Kabakth Ishq etc etc. you may like it. Do yourself a favor and give it a miss, maybe watch it when on your TVs, but I recommend giving it a miss even if you can watch it for free. There are a lot of newcomers in this movie who do nothing but overreact, the songs are irritating and really annoy you, same for the background music.Requirements to watch this movie: Low IQ and some tablets of aspirin. Please don't waste time on this pathetic excuse for a movie. I rate it 3 out of 10, 2 stars each for the performances by Amitabh Bachchan and Paresh Rawal and one for the subject.
