Rammstein - Live aus Berlin Trailers

The Rammstein - Live aus Berlin DVD is a compilation of two live concerts filmed at Berlin's open-air Parkbühne ("park stage") Wuhlheide in August 1998. The DVD offers 17 of the band's songs, most of which are found on the two CD albums "Sehnsucht" and "Herzeleid." The show itself is a very entertaining performance with plenty of the usual stunts, pyrotechnics, and lighting effects you'd expect from an industrial metal band.

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.

The title here "Rammstein: Live aus Berlin" of this 90-minute documentary(?) says exactly what this is about. It is a concert by the German rock music band "Rammstein" that they gave a long time ago in Berlin. I would not call myself a fan of the band, but they have 2 or 3 songs that I like quite well and I can somehow understand why they are so famous, also in the United States and abroad in general. So people who love them will certainly enjoy seeing Lindemann and the others in action. I personally did not though. None of the songs really did anything for me and as somebody who is not already a fan of the artists before watching, this will be a really boring watch, just like it was for myself. I am somewhat glad the concert only lasted for 90 minutes, but on the other hand this also is a reason why I give this film an even lower rating. Concert tickets are really expensive and these shows should not be over so quickly because of all the money fans pay for it. 1.5 hours is an insult. I have been on concerts of almost 80-year-old artists who were on stage for 3 hours or longer. Yes this "movie" here is a pretty spectacular stage show, but this cannot make up for everything that is wrong with it. I do not recommend the watch. The IMDb rating is a complete joke.

This is without any doubt, the best concert to have on DVD at the moment. An absolute must. It is the only one that captures the feel correctly. Rammstein, being my favourite band, are simply musical genius'. The lyrics are, OK, a bit strange, but are for a reason. I'm sorry, nothing can describe how incredible this is, so on that note, go and buy it! The LIFAD DVD which is coming out next year could be even better! With this, you can be in 1998, at The Barkbühne, Wuhlheide over and over again watching this masterpiece of a show. If you want to avoid something nasty, don't get the uncensored video, if you have a player that is. Even if you are not a fan, at least think about it.

What Can I say? This DVD is a must have for all those who are into Heavy metal/Rock You will be craving to download more of their songs after seeing this DVD.They are wearing "interesting costumes" throughout the whole concert, It is Kick-ass music, And the best feature of the performance is the Pyrotechniques. Which include "super-boots" (boots the main singer wears that shoot sparks), The Keyboarder "crowd-surfing" in a rubber dingy, The drummer playing with flares, guitarists signing into flaming microphones, A huge flamethrower and the lead singer set alight with a flameproof jacket on!!! And many more explosions etc...If you have seen XXX, the band at the start is Rammstein. Other movies they have songs in includes Lost Highway - Rammstein by Rammstein, Du hast - The Matrix

This film is guaranteed to to make any Rammstein fan tingle inside, although "Buch Dich" was cut from the DVD, and that was my favorite song. Otherwise, all of the other features make up for it! A must for any Rammstein fan.
