While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

I have been so hesitant to watch Filipino movies because they are very predictable but Ploning is different. Its brilliant and certainly a masterpiece for me. The story depends on the characters not the plot. Its back and forth of the scenes make it really exciting. The cinematography is excellent, a new beginning for Philippine movie industry which changes the style and mood from the conventional way of movie making to a more advance story telling. I am so amazed how those characters carry themselves in a way that you will understand what they feel and what they really want. Ploning (brittle) is instrumental for Digo to find his past. everything is surrounded by stories to which everyone should at least remember not to forget. Simple things make sense. I give a two thumbs up to the designers and scouts who really did their homework to make the movie realistic . The panoramic view of the place adds excitement and calmness to which everyone feels every angles of the camera works. Its a story of love, sadness and hope. I love it!

I just had the chance to watch this film yesterday and I really like it. The story, the background music and the beautiful scenery, the acting and all. The story is very touching, the characters are very strong, especially Ploning, how she views life and how she lives with it. The way how the story moves from past to present is splendid. At the end of the film, you can't help but to share the happiness of the characters after going through pains. There is really a sense of fulfillment and contentment. This is the best Filipino film that I have watched, keep it up guys. Keep on producing films like these. It is really worth the time watching,it is not just entertaining but a life-changing lesson as well.

About waiting, love, and the simple things in life, Ploning is a movie that is worth your time. It has a unique story and format which works to show the poignant effect. The setting and production are breathtaking and unexpectedly well done (set in Cuyo, Palawan, a pristine location). The acting is of course splendid, with its effective and balanced line-up of veteran and neophyte thespians (notable performances are from Mylene Dizon and Gina Pareno, aside from Judy Ann Santos' near-perfect interpretation of Ploning, the main character). It revolves around various themes and concepts like parental relations, going back to one's past and reliving it, lost love, starting anew and living a simple yet meaningful life, community culture, and many others. Ploning is a must-see for people who like learning life lessons, balanced amount of drama and a good reminder on what life (and living) is about.

As i watched this movie last May when it totally shown at cinemas nationwide, the movie itself really captures my desire to watched it again. The plot of the story is very simple yet very interesting and full of intense in the sense that the climax of the story was not yet reveal unless you watch it full. there some kind of surprise who really is Ploning. the movie was wonderful, the cinematography, the setting wherein it was shot in an island that is so blessed in terms of its cultural heritage, its generous people and of course the island is such a paradise to explore more of its natural wonders. I believed that this movie has long way to go..far beyond my expectations. Just watch it and feel its effect into your lives.
