Best movie of this year hands down!
... View MoreTo me, this movie is perfection.
... View MoreThis movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
... View MoreIt was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
... View MoreAnother experiment from Portuguese pioneer Aurélio da Paz dos Reis, among his 35 other films all directed in 1896. The man who brought the film experience to Portugal presents in "No Jardim" ("In the Garden") one acrobat in the foreground doing some acrobats in a trapeze (impressive movements and even more impressive the way it was filmed cause it feels like a visual effect despite the old-standard still cameras) and other acrobats performing other things in the background. And again, another important historical treasure from Portugal's cinema still existing and available. No more than that. Holds a nice quality, the images, but it's just another experimentation the director wanted to see what he could get with his camera. Thumbs up! 7/10
