TrueHello

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

The Olsen Twins - Mary-Kate and Ashley - take their talents into the big screen as they portray High School twin students Roxy and Jane, who take a trip together away from Long Island. Eugene Levy co- stars. One day,we get to see Roxy and Jane decide play with their parents and spend a day on their own at New York particularly in the island of Manhattan. Both have their own motivations to do so as punk Roxy intends to meet his favorite rock star while straight-A student Jane intends to deliver a speech at a scholarship committee. But things get awry as Jane's planner got stolen and both find themselves get involved in a political scandal involving a senator.Meanwhile, their high school's truant officer tries to pursue them.Well, obviously the film isn't great. But by this time, the fans of the Olsen twins are already used to it.It's either you like them or dislike them.As for the plot,it is definitely far from original and refreshing as we get to see another version of the classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off.As always,it is contrived, predictable and clichéd - three qualities that of any Olsen Twins' film.

I grew up watching the Olsen twins movies I've seen them all and read them all. I'm 19 now and I decided to go back and watch all my favorite childhood movies and this one was on that list. I still remember my bestfriend and I being so excited to see this in theatres. We had the Olsen twins movie marathon the night before and we were pumped. I remember how much I loved this movie, I thought being a rebel like Roxy was so cool. It was just the best movie. Now being 19 and watching it, I loved it even more. I loved the simplicity that you don't find in these types of movies anymore. This movie was made for tweens that was that. It was cute the girls got the guys they bonded without realizing it and it had its really sad parts. Any older then a tween watching this movie would think it was stupid but to a 12 year old it was perfect. And that's the thing about the Olsen twins their movies are for tweens and only tweens if you didn't watch these movie in that weird awkward part of your life than you will never like them. This movie was perfect for its age group and was just I funny action packed movie for teenie boppers.

Most people are giving this movie such a bad rating, when it really isn't that bad at all. What were they expecting, an Oscar worthy movie? The movie only has two annoyances for me, and it's the guy from American Pie (can't remember the actor's name) because his acting in this is, quite frankly, terrible. The character is already awful so I don't think they could have picked anyone worse for the role, but his nasally whiny voice is very annoying. Also the limo-driver/planner stealer. The acting is incredibly bad.Sure, this movie is full of cheesy jokes and way too much running, but it's the whole point of the movie. I also think both of the Olsen's acting (Marykate's acting is slightly better) is much better in this film than say, Holiday in the Sun. The scene where they finally confront each other about not being there for each other is actually quite touching, and definitely made me sad. Men should just steer clear of this movie, even if their girlfriend's ask them to watch it, because you're going to be bored (well, maybe not on the towel scene XD) but I think most girls will quite like it, for the Olsen's gorgeous freaking hair, their clothes and makeup, and just to see them act in something when they were more mature. I would recommend to either download it or rent it. If you find it in a sale for £3 that's good too, but definitely don't pay over £7 for this movie, because you might regret it.

So, I bought the movie at a local Blockbuster for my young sister, who simply adores ever MK and A thing (she sadly still hasn't seen Full House). I popped the DVD in, and was getting my hopes up. So...the film...Jane (A) is a hardworking, girly whilst her sister Roxy (MK) is lazy, rocker and school skipper. I personally relate to Jane more. Anyway, so they have a giant 'you-get-all-the-attention!' fight--which I semi decently understand it (being the youngest of triplets, NOT including the young sister mentioned). I think the film is appealing to young pre-teen girls, but will make girls the age of them in the film hurl, to be honest.
