Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.

It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.

The Olsen Twins - Mary-Kate and Ashley - take their talents into the big screen as they portray High School twin students Roxy and Jane, who take a trip together away from Long Island. Eugene Levy co- stars. One day,we get to see Roxy and Jane decide play with their parents and spend a day on their own at New York particularly in the island of Manhattan. Both have their own motivations to do so as punk Roxy intends to meet his favorite rock star while straight-A student Jane intends to deliver a speech at a scholarship committee. But things get awry as Jane's planner got stolen and both find themselves get involved in a political scandal involving a senator.Meanwhile, their high school's truant officer tries to pursue them.Well, obviously the film isn't great. But by this time, the fans of the Olsen twins are already used to it.It's either you like them or dislike them.As for the plot,it is definitely far from original and refreshing as we get to see another version of the classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off.As always,it is contrived, predictable and clichéd - three qualities that of any Olsen Twins' film.

this is one of the stupidest movies i've ever seen - so unrealistic. puts a bad name to new-york. just really awful plot.it's about twins Roxy and Jane, one is smart, and the other is a smart-ass. after their mom died, they kind of grew apart. the movie is really bad, not an ounch of realism. they make a city like new-york, who's larger then life, like it's the smallest city with just 10 people. anyway - u don't wanna watch this.i cant wait for this 2 actresses to finally shoot a serious movie, with a serious plot, not childish.

oh my god ! i luff this film ! its sick ! *laugh*. i think if anyone doesn't like this film then they suck. Mary Kate and Ashley rock ! to the person that was complaining about mean girls should shut up because thats films sick too ! kids learn about that stuff at school anyway so whats the point in hiding it from them ? and kids want to get away from their families early mainly because they don't like them that much in the first place, so what does that tell you. i don't meant to sound harsh or anything, but maybe you should think before saying tight stuff about things. anyway this film is great ! i luff Mary-Kate and Ashley !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and this film ! whoopee. *laugh*. peace out xx

If New York Minute were just that, a minute long it would still be a waste of life. I can't believe Hollywood continues to waste money on making retarded films. Who the hell read/wrote this script and thought it was a good idea? I saw this movie free on HBO and it still felt like I was ripped off. The Olsen Twins should stop making crappy ass movies. Aren't the billions they've made from crappy ass products with their names slapped on it enough? God bless the poor souls who see this movie. The Olsen's are money whores and should be jailed at once. If God really does judge us on things we do on this Earth, well then Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are going straight to hell!
