This movie is awesome. It is very similar in plot to Out of Sight, but in my opinion it is a billion times better. I guess it is the erotic scenes that add much more to it as this fully delves into the love that exists between the killer and the cop.Naked Killer is about a woman, Kitten, who witnesses her father murdered by her stepmother's lover. She vowels revenge and storms his office and kills him. After that she finds herself trapped and inevitably turns to an assassin for help. She helps her and takes her in and trains her. Her advice always acts around being seductive but avoiding a relationship as that unhinges you and makes you a less effective killer. Sex is bad because it attaches you to somebody. Unfortunately Kitten is attached to a cop who she cannot get away from. They really emphasis this relationship in the fact that this is the only woman that he has met that arouses him. He is determined not to leave her, and in the end she folds and runs to his arms, but can now never return to the world of the killers. It is the plot that gives this movie a lot of strength. The plot is a standard Romeo and Juliet plot, but the character developments far surpass that of Out of Sight. The action scenes in this movie are at the excellent standard of Hong Kong cinema, and the movie climaxes in a tragic ending. As is typical for this movie, a path is created that leads to only one ending. The path is followed by the choices that the characters make and once one makes the choice, the end is inevitable. A tragedy of a high standard is when one sees these choices and knows the implications. If we treat this as realistic then the choices that are made have a much greater impact. The two tragic choices occur when Kitten decides to take revenge on her stepmother's lover, and when she reveals herself to the cop. These decisions send her down a path from which she can never return. Though choices exist, they are not ones that she is willing to make.I must say that this is a brilliant movie, though the one that I watched was the unedited version. I do not know what the Chinatown Video version is like, but the movie is still one that is phenomenally brilliant.

Alright, love Cat 3 movies, love extreme movies, love sexy movies, love underground movies, hell even love Hollywood movies! But what gets on my nerves is when I read a glowing review of a Cat 3, then spend my money and get totally disappointed. This movie was shallow, boring, clichéd and overly glossy (trying to be an Asian Basic Instinct) but at least that Hollywood movie had good acting, the acting or should say "posing" in this movie is horrible, and the dialogue, my baby brother has more interesting words. The story is poor too, but there is some violence and a little nudity, but this doesn't cut the mustard. If if you think I'm too harsh because I am a prude, check out these classics that at least have something to say and are stylish and clever... go get Red to Kill (shocking), Ebola syndrome (to be sickened), Baise Moi (realistic sex and violence), Last Exit (underground sex and violence), Combat Shock (bleak and violent), as top examples of movies that do it right.Give it 5-10 because there is some nice girls but it's all so fake.

This movie has far more in commen with Charlie's Angels then Cory Yuen's SO Close (not that So close is a worser film, in fact, i consider So close a far better film even though it is tame when compared to this film). Mainly due to the fact that this movie seems to rely more on the sexiness of the actresses then the actual action scenes. However, what seperates this film from Charlie's Angels is that it is more violent and more sexy (without havng to show gratuitess nudity. Again I have seen the cut version). And when the action scenes come, they are extremly stylised and and almost fantasy-like. Again, unlike Charlie's Angels, it appears that the action choreagraphers either resisted the ich to use wire-stunts, or they were far more clever about hiding them. That ius not to say that the action scenes incredably spectacular, in fact, they seem like pale imatations of John Woo or Yuen Woo Ping as well as their being more flips and twirls then actual kicks and punches. What almost saves the action scenes though is the demented violent acts committed by the characters. What also helps is that the actresses are always carressing each other and such in between the action scenes.note: as mentioned before this review is for the cut version. That being said, there are certain scenes that appear to be cut short (like 10 minutes had to be cut to get it down to an R-rating so one has to wonder what was done in the movie). the good thing about this R-rated version is that you can get it for a relatively cheap price, 15 bucks, under the HK classic series along with jackie Chan's CIty hunter and Hong Kong 1941 with Chow Yun Fat. However, I would reccopmend you try and get the uncut copy becuase the R-rated copy just makes you want to purchase the uncut version.

I greatly enjoyed this movie. There are various video versions. My copy is the letterboxed, dubbed and uncut VHS version. Chingmy Yau is a beautiful actress and a pleasure to watch. The story is a police tale along well trodden paths most of us have seen before in some form. Nothing in the story itself really jumped out and grabbed me as something new and unseen before. However watching the video I felt as if I were in a Hong Kong cinema. The movie gave me that sort of experience. The real beauty of the movie is in the way it is produced rather than in a unique story line. It is a "cinema experience" and done quite well. I highly recommend it to those who like a movie that is great to watch.
