There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Nothing original here, a movie you will forget within hours of watching it. The same old classic slasher film cloches regurgitated once again into this little, boring slasher flick. Filled with unintelligent and straight up stupid dialogue, as expected, this movie fails to create any suspense, so whenever one of the kids gets killed you simply couldn't care less, since the writers have completely failed setting the atmosphere of this movie, you can see where it is going right from the start. In my opinion, we have had more than enough of the same recycled slasher films over the years and it simply is the time to stop and move on from this genre, at least for a couple of years, because this type of horror has been witnessed so many times throughout the years it has gotten completely mondane and boring. People are not looking for shock value in movies anymore, hence the low ratings here. Also, the plot twist is absolutely ridiculous and could very well be one of the dumbest i have ever seen, simply put this film has a horrible ending. Another thing to point out, the lighting/sound effects in this film were surprisingly bad, the location was great, but clearly somebody was not doing their job right, when it came to lighting/sound effects. Overall ''Most Likely To Die'' is your casual, boring slasher horror film, which brings absolutely nothing new to the horror genre and will be forgotten almost instantly after viewing. Do not recommend watching this in the slightest!

'Most Likely to Die' drew me into seeing it, with a cool poster/cover, an intriguing and quite creative premise and as someone with a general appreciation for horror. That it was low-budget, which from frequent personal experience is rarely a good sign due to that there are so many poor ones out there, made me though apprehensive. It is sadly however yet another film seen recently, hence some reiteration because the exact same strengths and flaws are here present in those films, that to me was incredibly disappointing considering its potential which it doesn't do anywhere near enough with. 'Most Likely to Die' is terrible, with a plethora of problems (huge ones too) and doesn't do enough with its potential, which was hardly small. There is very little to recommend, but still a couple of qualities in 'Most Likely to Die'.Lets start with the positives. The scenery is atmospheric and spooky, despite the rather direct to video schlocky way it's generally shot (apart from the odd nice one) and edited, it was very clear that the film was made in a rush with no care or enthusiasm. Best thing about 'Most Likely to Die' actually is the ending when the film finally gets intriguing, even then it feels too little too late.Going on further to the negatives, the story does feel over-stretched and some of it feels vague, under-explained in the last third where the film especially became duller, more predictable, more senseless and less scary and never gaining momentum. Too many characters are too sketchy and with nowhere near enough to make one want to endear to them. Their annoying and illogical decision making and behaviours frustrates. Making the film feel bland and forgettable with not enough heart put into it. The effects are ropy at best, the sound quality is obvious and utilised cheaply (being too loud in the build ups and people's reactions) and all of the acting is lacking, especially from Perez Hilton. For a slasher, there are far too little kills and slasher elements and none are creative or scary.Dialogue can be stilted and rambling while the pace and film drags on forever, never recovering until finally getting intriguing to the ending. Found too many the supposedly shocking moments not surprising or scary and the supposedly creepy atmosphere dreary, due to the excessive obviousness, a lot of dumb and vague moments and explanations and the lack of tension and suspense. A lot of 'Most Likely to Die' has underdeveloped plot elements and often nonsensical and confusing character motivations, while too many of the things to make you jump or shocked are far from creative or scary and are pretty tame. There is not enough threat here and what there is of it tends to be used poorly, while the psychological elements are unimaginative and are more odd than scary, completely failing to show any sense of horror. Some badly sagging momentum too. The direction is leaden, got the sense their heart was not in it, and the music doesn't really fit.Concluding, terrible. 2/10 Bethany Cox

A group of former classmates gather for a pre-party at one of their homes the night before their 10-year high school reunion. One by one, they are brutally slain in a manner befitting each's senior yearbook photo comment. It's not a bad film by any means, with a minuscule budget, an unknown cast, and probably the directors house, it gets the job done well, but one cannot help but think with a bigger budget, Blumhouse input, and made 15 years earlier, this could have been something of a franchise. We get the obligatory guessing game from the upstart, a checklist of who has been killed, and in what way, and of course, a masked villain and final third explanation. The cast are okay, the characters highly unlikeable except for the lead, and a few impressive kills. But the film lacks a convincing explanation come the end, it really is a kind of last minute, cheap inclusion, which again, in the right hands, could have been something a little more on a grander scale. For a horror fan, there is nothing new here, it references many slashers from the eighties, has your token special guest star Jake Busey, and if you've seen enough of these films, you know what to expect of them. But it looks good, it's short, and it doesn't take long for the film to get going.A great rainy day slasher

This is a throw back to an 80's slasher film who-dun-it. The Yearbook staff gets together for a pre-high school reunion at the home of Ray Yoder (Jason Tobias) who just got cut by the Rangers...oh wait Ray isn't here, everyone make themselves at home and pay no attention the red X through Ashley's face on the wall where all their pictures are hung. Each picture has a "most likely to...." by it which "cleverly" or not so cleverly relates to their death as explained to us after the second kill. The film spends a lot of time creating drama over past relationships and gives us plenty of suspects...I was guessing the kid who died in High School as this had a "Prom Night" theme + a cabin in the woods film. The film spent too much time on Gaby (Heather Morris) who got boring after awhile as I wished they hadn't killed off Skyler Vallo in the first scene as she had so much tease to her.Guide: F-word. Sex. Tease, but no nudity.
