not as good as all the hype

... View MoreIt isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
... View MoreI was away travelling in India and the group decided to go and see a Bollywood movie. There was always going to be a major stumbling block with this as I don't speak Hindi and obviously no subtitles. It was certainly an experience going to a Bollywood movie as the audience cheer when each of the well known actors make their first appearance. As for the movie it was pretty easy to follow. There were a lot of song and dance routines and I found it quite entertaining throughout. Lots of action scenes with very far fetched stunt scenes. There were a couple of people in the group who were fans of Bollywood and they found it a little bit disappointing.
... View MoreThis part of "KHILADI" series from Askshay kumar's all famous "Khiladi movies " is not only the worst of all Khiladi's but the worst movie ever made in bollywood. The movie displays irritating comedy scenes and stupid Salmaan types takiya kalaam's and common scene challenging fight scenes . In the movie Akshay kumar not only is the undisputed fighter but at one point when he gets a scratch on his cheek from the Main villain they show tectonic shifts and volcanoes erupting . Dear Asin when will u start taking challenging roles .She is not getting out of her bubbly and dominating role And who would please explain MR .Himesh that he has no luck with talent or acting .We appreciate some of his songs but i seriously believe he should return back to his baseball cap and the mike .As for Akshay "Please start giving Indian audience some sensible movies else his future does not wander near limelight .finally the movie has nothing to offer except mindless giggles and laughter. For our intellectual and sensible audience, even if you have made the mistake to book tickets for this film, here's a serious note caution: DO CARRY A DISPRIN and then go off to sleep quietly in the multiplex !
... View MoreKhiladi 786 directed by Ashish R Mohan is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The movie has a weak plot-line,minimal scenes that make you laugh, poor dialogs and erratic screenplay. There are only three things about this movie, which makes me give it a three star on ten:-i)The stunts: Although bearing similarity to those of Dabangg,Wanted,Rowdy Rathore etc. What makes the stunts look entertaining is that Akshay Kumar has done it himself and there is no use of body-double.ii)The music: Himesh Reshammiya does an awesome job."Hookah Bar","Balma" and "Long Drive" work. The title "Khiladi Bhaiyya",bears a bit resemblance to Hudd Hudd Dabangg(Dabangg).iii)The performances of Mithun Chakraborty,Sanjay Mishra and Johny Lever: Although Akshay Kumar is the main hero of Khiladi, but, yet,Mithun Chakraborty as don TTT and Sanjay Mishra as Jeevanlal Pranlal D'Costa steal the show.Johny Lever as Inspector Bhalerao Kambli, although having a very short screen space brings a huge smile to your face.Story: Born to an owner of a marriage bureau Champak Lal (Manoj Joshi), Mansukh (Himesh Reshammiya) has been a complete failure ever since he has grown up and tried to help his father in their family business. All the alliances he had tried to get done have resulted in separation even before the marriage took place. To prove his worth to his father, he takes up an unusual challenge of getting an underworld don TTT's (Mithun Chakraborty) sister Indu (Asin) getting married to a cop called Bahattar Singh aka Khiladi 786 (Akshay Kumar) in Punjab and to add more to his problems he convinces even don TTT to pretend as a cop but little did the over enthusiast know that Bahattar Singh, his father Sattar Singh (Raj Babbar) and his uncle Ikhattar Singh (Mukesh Rishi) were not cops but a family of con-men. The story takes a shape as the two hardcore families of two different states pretend to be policemen in front of each other and the beans from each side can be spilled anytime which can be life threatening for Mansukh. The direction is poor The screenplay is erratic.Performances: Akshay Kumar is very good. But still I found something missing in his act as compared to the act he did in Rowdy Rathore.Asin is dull.Himesh Reshammiya does not impress even an inch!He is horrible.Raj Babbar,Mukesh Rishi,Rajesh Khattar,Manoj Joshi,Bharti Singh are all wasted. All in all,Khiladi 786 is a terrible waste of terrific opportunity.I am giving it a three on ten.Colossal Disappointment!
... View Morei went to this movie expecting a typical childish comedy, and Himesh Reshammyas acting skills, are comedy all the way, so he was in the wright place for a change, and my advice to himesh would be only stick to sporting roles, never try lead again.!performances were okay cause there was nothing challenging to do in this movie. comedy was good until near the end.the only 2 things i really dis like about khiladi 786, is the plot and the action, plot was the same old typical and action was over the top to fake, which we only have Salman Khan to thank, for starting this super human era of in Bollywood, and the worst or the funniest scene of the movie was, when Akshay Kumar gets a hit across his face in the last action scene, they made it look like the end of the world an that just looked stupid! over all its a good entertainer if you just want to go for a laugh but don't expect anything special or a return of the khiladi cause its just a same old Akshay Kumar comedy.
