Who payed the critics
... View MoreEntertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast
... View MoreThe tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
... View More.Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
... View MoreThis lightweight musical doesn't have much of a script, but some nice mugging and singing by Bob Howard and Pigmeat Markham (!). The songs are all original and as good as most mainstream musicals, but the one gospel number is strange and under-rehearsed. Its 55 minutes pass by quickly because of the pretty women (especially Marie Cooke, who sings also) and fun music. Mostly tin pan alley, but there's a blues number too!
