In the 20 second I saw the elephant, I knew she would be the winner because she looks so mainstream American to me.(In this movie) Pigs were Latin with many babies (well well well). Asian coons are language awkward people you don't know what they think and talk -- seems to me that you can assume and predict asian roles will be doomed in Hollywood movie (well well well). Elephants are African American but you know what, heros are always white and black. The movie was well-made but if you watch this closely, it is full of ethnic sterotype.

"Sing!" is another half-baked Illumination film with little to no heart and soul in it. The film was made in 2016 and had mediocre animation compared to the other animated films that were made in the same year. To put this in perspective, 2016 was the same year that Zootopia, Kubo and the Two Strings, Moana, and Finding Dory were made. Sing's all around story and characters wither in comparison to the other movies as well. Just looking at one of the characters in the other, better films you can tell exactly what that character is all about. For example, I can tell that Nemo from Finding Dory is a young, naive boy. You can't do that with one of the characters from Sing, however. Overall, Sing is just a mediocre animated movie only enjoyable to young children, and brain dead adults. There is no way I would recommend this idiotic cash grab of a film.

I think this movie at one point had the most viewed trailer in movie history. It's since been replaced by "Avengers: Infinity War". I was really impressed by that as this movie is based on a completely original idea, right? Well, the story's pretty basic with a koala holding a singing competition. A lot of stuff from the trailer is only in the first 20 minutes. My favorite character might be Mike the mouse.I couldn't recognize Seth Macfarlane's voice at all! I'm not going to spoil it, but the way his storyline is resolved is very satisfying. The animation is great and it's a really interesting world these characters live in. I admit that some of it is clichéd and the characters probably aren't the most original. I still rooted for most of them and it's pretty realistic for a movie about talking animals. I counted 64 songs in the credits! ***

Sing (2016) is one of the newest family oriented animated movies. It boasts a very talented, star studded cast. That cast includes Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth McFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton, Tori Kelly, Rhea Perlman, Nick Offerman, Jennifer Saunders, and Jennifer Hudson. All of these actors were rightly cast and did well with voicing their characters. I especially thought that Witherspoon and McConaughey were good fits. I liked their storylines the best too, well theirs and Taron Egerton's character. Theirs really had the most depth and emotion attached to them. The writing is good most of the time, overall it's good, of course one like finding dory would surpass this one, but it's still entertaining. The story has some funny moments, some dramatic ones, overall its mildly recommeded. Probably best for families.
