It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

I enjoyed this it was something different from the usual zombie films and the main actress held it all together well....not much blood and gore so may not appeal to die hard zombie fans, some humour along the way definitely not as bad as some people have said. Not sure i would class it as a horror film but still entertaining and held my interest

I watched this at home (HBO, I think). Anyway, as soon as I discovered this was a zombie flick, I grabbed the remote and spun through the channels - nothing. Screw it, I decided to watch yet another goddamned zombie movie. So glad I did. The beginning, say the first 20 minutes, was nothing much. The zombie introduces itself and the next morning a Vegas stripper, Brittany Allen, is on the run...well actually she's just outpacing the clumsy zombie with a steady gait through the middle of the Mohave, all the while talking to the suit-and-tie clad walking corpse. There's a sand storm followed by a pretty graphic rape scene, but the movie picked up nicely after the stripper gets the zombie to pull his weight via a rope, an inflatable raft and a tire. Now, we got black humor. Now, we got something. After that, the flick just motors along nicely, and we discover that Brittany Allen can actually act! She spins flawlessly through a series of emotions right up to the final scene. Yeah, I still hate zombie movies, but this really wasn't one. This was a thriller/black comedy with a zombie as second banana.

After getting stranded in the desert, a lone woman finds her struggle to brave the elements threatened by a relentless, ravenous zombie bent on killing and eating her and anyone who comes to help and finally forces her to fend off the deadly creature in order to survive.Overall, this here was a rather enjoyable effort. One of the most endearing aspects of this one stems from the rather unique and enjoyable premise at the heart of this one. Rather than detailing one person's plight against a horde of creatures as would normally be the case here, this one tends to focus on her lone struggle about a singular, relentless zombie that continually charges after her no matter how far away in the desert she appears to get. Since she manages to understand the rules of the genre by immediately expressing the need for the typical rules here, this one goes about throwing that around with the removal of the weapon early on in the initial encounter, which gives this one a strong, intriguing start by forcing it beyond the typical series of exploits throughout here as there's seemingly only a few actual traditional zombie encounters throughout here. The initial encounter between out on the highway gets this off to a nice start by employing the kind of setup that gets the film going as well as the series of encounters throughout the desert featuring her leading him along at a slow pace wandering around through the scenery by a few strides adds a humorous setup to their antics as she berates him while walking only a few feet in front of him. The eventual scenes of her around the cliffs waking up to him growling at her have plenty of solid chills as well as a touch of comedy, while the later scenes of her starting to warm up to him have a different atmosphere than would be expected in such a genre film, especially once it deals with the finale of the chaos at the abandoned airfield as well as getting back to suburbia for the touching moments included within that gives this a strong, sensitive ending note. Coupled with the great gore effects and stellar zombie make-up, there's plenty to like here over it's few minor issues. The main problem here is the fact that there's just such a flimsy story that it really seems short in terms of what is supposed to be happening. This one just seems to fit more in a shorter, condensed state rather than a full-length effort as it tends to feature here wandering through the desert way too often than doing anything, all due to its setup that barely seems to support its length. That also comes from its other problem, too many useless scenes to bump up the running time. From the rape attempt that has no point in here to the scenes at the airfield and her memories of the past, this has some useless parts to stretch out it's running time. However, these aren't too detrimental overall.Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, a rape and drug use.

This movie is a prime example of the flawed ratings that IMDb is now subjecting us horror movie lovers to. I know a 5.6 rating isn't very high. But a 5.6 for a horror movie on this site usually means the movie is somewhat decent. This movie IS NOT one of those movies. It is VERY boring, the protagonist is very annoying with her very stupid decision making. The script is flawed beyond repair. The only thing about this movie that is OK is Brittany Allen. She plays out her role to the best of her ability with what she was given. That's pretty much the only reason i gave this movie 4 stars. I just don't see how these reviews are honest. I love indie horror flicks, even some bad ones are still decent. But this one is just terrible. Only reason i even gave it a chance was because of the rating from this site and the now obvious fake reviews.Bottom line... Stay away from this movie, help bring this rating down to where it should be. The only honest reviews are the ones posted on the last page. Do not fall victim to the BS.
