Good story, Not enough for a whole film

I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Molly (Paris Berelc) and Cleo (Rowan Blanchard) are sisters. Molly is athletic and loved by everyone. Cleo is super smart and stays distant from Molly and her friends in spite of them offering Cleo to come along. The story is about sister relationships who are both thin and good looking with hunks who like them. Not too much real agony. While doing a science project the smart one accidentally turns her sister invisible with the resultant Disney consequences. When the parents go away the popular sister throws a party that has no alcohol, drugs, or sex. Heck there was even no one making out. Bad example to have the party, good example of a party.Personally I liked "Girl vs Monster" or "How to Build a Better Boy" better. This one is for the young teen or pre-teen group, especially the young ladies.

I love how Chloe is but she's so different then her role in girl meets world! I love how the character who played ravi in Jessie. I can say I love this movie then any other movie I have watched in my life...well other then the movie babe with the pig. This movie is romantic, funny, and sad. Why can't more movies be like this.

In ten years this will join the list of forgotten Disney titles and this review will only by seen by those checking the credits for one of the actors. (My bet is Ms. Berlac, but Rowan may have a career as well). However, that being said this was another well written and acted DCOM. 2015 has been a stellar year for the DCOM's and Disney deserves credit for producing four good movie this year. The failing of many DCOMs or any youth targeted TV movie is that they are slapped together without style or character development and the acting of the minor characters is usually not a concern. This was well acted and written with subtle tones to the characters that made it enjoyable. Paris carried the movie and it also showed that Krar is a better actor than the drivel he was given in Jesse and now even worse in Bunkd. Even the science teacher has some dimension to him. The only problem I had with the movie was the question of why her invisibility had to be a secret, since no one had done anything wrong or illegal and there was no reason for it to be. Of course, that would have killed about 3/5 of the movie so that is probably the reason.Certainly, as with most DCOMs there is only so good it can be. However, these kids seem like kids I know as opposed to a lot of the characters in these movies. Hence, I recommend this movie as a good use of an hour and one half. So, when Disney drags this out around Halloween in 2020, you should watch it.

The latest use that the Disney Studios has made of its teen stars is with Rowan Blanchard as the shy and retiring younger sister of Paris Bereic who's as popular as Blanchard is shy. In fact Blanchard's only real friend is fellow science geek Karan Brar.Blanchard's smart though and she accidentally gets the secret of invisibility and unfortunately turns her sister invisible. That's not good because among other things Bereic has to compete in a high school Lacrosse tournament for a scholarship. Both sisters get a handle on that one with scenes reminiscent of Disney's The Absent Minded Professor when Fred MacMurray's discovery of Flubber turns his hapless college basketball team into winners. It was interesting to hear Karan Brar perform without accent. Though he's of Indian ancestry he was raised in the USA and in both Jessie and Bunk'd Brar takes on the Indian speech pattern.Invisible Sister is an enjoyable teen comedy from The Magic Kingdom and at least while Blanchard and Brar operate under a deadline at least she wasn't faced with going insane like poor Claude Rains was.
