Sorry, this movie sucks

It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

A simple, heartwarming story of a loyal dog that waits for his master after his master's untimely death. The dog: an Akita. The story is real and took place in Japan in the early 20th Century.

Mmm..I don't know what to say!! The story is so simple, appears to be ideal, but it's true. It is a story about pure love, friendship and loyalty that touches you in more than a scene. Really, there is no need for a movie to be complicated to enjoy it. "Hachi: A Dog's Tale" narrates the story of the statue of Hachiko which stands outside of Shibuya Station in Tokyo. I've always heard this story as an example for loyality, but never believed it, dunno why. Back to the movie, it is a bit slow paced, despite its short running time. Actually, I found this slow pace as an advantage, make you feel how deep the relation between the dog and its owner(friend). What deepens this feel is the soundtrack which fits the scenes perfectly-in my view. Cinematography is good too. I have nothing to add as it is so simple as I mentioned before, but one last thing; a special recognition to the dog. I wonder how he acts to be like crying(not kidding). Now, am planning to watch the original(Japanese)version, but this one is worth seeing.

I cant remember when I cried the last time in my life. This movie made me cry during the last 30 minutes of the movie and even still an hour after the it ended... 2 hours later I'm still sad... I couldn't give 10 out of 10, only because it felt like a torture watching it even though its a beautiful (but heart breaking) film...

Every time I watch this film it touches my heart! The true story of Hachi the dog its definitely one of the best Japanese stories and I believe last year The Statue of hachi was replace with hachi and his owner together! That was such a beautiful thing to behold!I totally recommend this film!
