Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

It was kind of hard to believe that with a cast such as who was in this movie that the movie turned out to be such a disappointment. There were no laughs to be found throughout the entire movie. The story is easy to follow and doesn't challenge the intellect of the audience in any way. Maury and Dave are meat salesmen down on their luck, and when they walk into what turns out to be a huge sale, things take an unexpected change and they get tied up with criminals and murderers.I will say that that movie had some impressive names on the cast list; Kevin James, Ray Romano, Burt Reynolds, Juliette Lewis, Kim Coates and Sofia Vergara. It was actually Sofia Vergara who carried the movie, just a shame that she didn't have more time on the screen. When the movie ended, I must admit that the first thing that I thought was 'what was the point of this movie?'. Yeah, the movie just didn't make any lasting impression."Grilled" is a less than mediocre movie.

You would think that a movie starring both Ray Romano and Kevin James (each extremely funny on their sitcoms) couldn't possibly fail. This movie doesn't necessarily fail, but with the talents of these two great comedians, it definitely falls short. Romano and James show that they're both good actors, and can play characters different from the ones on their sitcoms. Hopefully, next time they'll be working with a better script. Other than the novelty of the main characters being door-to-door meat salesman, the movie doesn't contain much originality. I chuckled quite a few times throughout the course of the film, but there are no big laughs. I can see why "Grilled" went straight-to-video, despite the popularity of the two actors. If it played in theaters, it would probably have a worse box office performance than "Welcome to Mooseport." To be fair, the plot does thicken in the second half, and I found myself pretty intrigued. However, being a big fan of both "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "The King of Queens," I couldn't help but feel disappointed. And I'm sure other fans will be disappointed as well.

Ray Romano is hilarious. Kevin James is hilarious. Put the two together and you get a hilarious movie, right? Not exactly. This was just not the right movie for either of them. None of the real-life comedy of Everybody Loves Raymond. None of the charm of Hitched. Just a couple of funny guys not being funny. It was really just kind of sad.The plot was weak. The situations weren't believable. The characters weren't interesting and the comedy was too dark. Both these actors are at their best when they're lovable doofuses. I didn't like either of these guys. I wanted them to lose.If you choose to check this movie out anyway, be prepared for a dark comedy. Be prepared for these actors to play characters you wouldn't expect.Hope this doesn't discourage them from trying again. They could be really excellent together.

Ray Romano & Kevin James should just stick to their respective sitcoms on TV. OK, well maybe it's not their fault this movie stank, it's probably just the weak story line. That, and the fact that if this is supposed to be a comedy, it's not really that funny. You won't find yourself laughing at the jokes, because, well, there really aren't any. And while I'm not offended by vulgar language, the overuse of profanity in this movie seemed very clumsy & unneeded, kind of like a 13 year old trying to impress his friends by talking dirty.Overall, it's no surprise this turkey went straight-to-DVD. And it's not even worth renting.
