Good start, but then it gets ruined

Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

This movie captured the hardships miners faced in the late 1800's during the Gold Rush to Alaska. To my surprise Alyssa Milano's character is a down to earth, real life characterization of a lady that really existed (True Story) & Alyssa was believable.I bought the movie because I'm a Bruce Campbell fan. Bruce played a really offbeat character, that was also believable.I've watched this movie multiple times; it's as enjoyable the 10 time as it was the 1st time.Excellent storyline, great photography, & well directed + it had a happy ending.

OK, it's a Disney movie. OK, it does have Alyssa Milanno. And yes it is poorly written. But it does have something to keep it in tact, and that would be none other than horror legend Bruce Campbell. The acting in this film isn't great, but what Campbell film has good acting. I only have three complaints about this movie, no zombies, Every 1o seconds Milanno says something that irritates you so bad you want her head to explode, and no nude scenes. Come'on Alyssa Milanno should be nude in every film she does this is no exception. But if your in the mood to see Campbell trudging through some snow, pick this up. Or if you drink a six pack of beer and want something to watch, Or if Disney is offering one those free weekend packages or something.

Here is a movie of adventure, determination, heroism, & bravery. Plus, it's set back in the late 1800s which makes it even more interesting. It's a wonderful, adventurous storyline, and Alyssa Milano is wonderful at playing the wholesome, confident, no-nonsense Fizzy...a great role-model. This is one of my favorite movies. It is a movie to be watched again and again and will inspire you and enrich your life without a doubt. Not only is the storyline excellent, but the movie also has fabulous scenery and music and is wonderfully directed. This movie is as good as gold!

In this above average made for TV flick, Disney captures the excitement of searching for gold in Alaska at the turn of the century. Alyssa Milano gives a strong, spunky and lively performance as "Fizzy", who holds her own as the only female searching for gold among several men, most of them quite older than she is. The whole cast looks like they are having a blast making the film. I did feel bad when the man fell in love with and proposed to Fizzy and she turned him down. This is a really fun movie. Well done, Disney!
