Absolutely brilliant
... View MoreInstead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.
... View MoreYes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.
... View MoreThis movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
... View MoreThis film is an example of how good Akshay Kumar is in comedies. He is great in his role; he deservedly won the filmfare award for best performance in a comic role for his performance. John Abraham does his part well alongside Akshay in the lead roles. Paresh Rawal did well in his supporting role. Manoj Joshi and Rimi Sen did their parts well as did Neha Dhupia. The story of this is one that promises the audience a lot of comedy scenes, and it doesn't fail to deliver them. The music isn't that good to be honest. Still, it is worth watching for the comedy.Verdict: good comedy - definitely watch it. I give it 7.5/10
... View Morei have to say that this was the worst film of priyadarshan(releasing alongside much better kyonki which was also his directorial venture) ,it contains no specific storyline and just focuses on body showing by debuting actresses and some silly comedy sequences. I think priyadarshan is becoming too much repetitive in his comedy flicks just like govinda and David dhavan had done in the past after giving some good entertainers they also went on to loose their audiences. So it will be good for him to concentrate more on script and try some variations in his direction.Give us more of herapheri's and malamal weekly's rather than giving duds like garam masala!
... View MoreNow i really liked this movie, it was so funny. Both Akshay Kumar and John Abraham are brilliant actors, i think after watching this film they should do lots more films together in the future.Akshay Kumar gets himself into a bit of trouble by dating 3 women at the same time, but the way he handles in when one comes out of the door and then the other one was just so funny to watch, he acted really well int his film and i hope that he makes more great comedy's like this one in the future, John Abraham plays his best friend, he plays his role really well and he is so underrated i am glad that some of his amazing work has got noticed but he is a really Good actor. i just love John, Neha Dhupia has a small role in this film and plays it well. The muse is really good i really recommend this movie to everyone.
... View MoreIf you've seen Chasing Papi, then you have seen Garam Masala. Well, except for the songs of course, but hey! The only good thing about this version is that there's John Abraham and Akshaye Kumar as eye candy for us girls. The Plot stunk, Neha Dhupia was so wasted in this that if you blink you might just miss her. And forget Rimii Sen, Bollywood's lucky mascot is barely in the film not that she is much of an actress anyway but it was just ridiculous to see such a pivotal character do so little with the screen time they gave her.Anyhow, to the plot; Mac and Sam (Kumar and Abraham respectively) are womanising fashion photographers who are constantly in competition with each other. The difference between them is that Mac is engaged to Anjali(played by Rimii Sen). Yet he (Mac) still finds time to battle Sam for the affections of their co-worker Maggie (played by Neha Dhupia). One day, Sam turns up lucky and wins the industry's most coveted award and as a result is promoted at work, given a raise and even sent on assignment to America. He leaves Mac in his dust, which devastates his former partner in crime who literally gave Sam everything a friend could ever ask for in terms of loyalty and support. Mac's depressed state leads him to drink mindlessly until he is rescued by his former boss who gives him a new lease on life. He becomes a house-sitter and one day gets in over his head. He hires a servant (played by Paresh Rawal) into the house he is watching and goes out on the town to woo three separate women, all of them air hostesses. Sweety, Puja and Deepti (played by Neetu Chandra, Nargis Bagheri, & Daisy Bopanna respectively). When Mac promises to marry each one, Sam returns from America to add some spice into the crazy soup of a soap opera Mac has cooked up and both men try to keep all three women from finding out about each other.
