... View MoreFun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
... View MoreThe biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
... View MoreI'm gay but i'm thinking that being in relation with someone which is married even just for a short period is not ethic. I think that the writher want to focus on "coming out" side of story/film. But the end is nice and acceptable.
... View MoreI want to say that Free Fall was an experience. In many ways is like a 40's melodrama. He, his wife and the other woman. What makes it feel different is that the other woman is a man. Hanno Koffler and Max Riemelt are superb as the forbidden sides of this triangle. Frank, compassionate, truthful and painful, very painful. The love and passion, fear and guilt in Hanno Koffler's eyes are haunting and recognizable. Max Riemelt's Kay makes the alternative in Koffler's Marc's life totally plausible and fills it with a form of suspense that the ending didn't completely clear out. So I'm so happy there will be a part 2. I can't wait.
... View MoreThe story of how Marc struggles with his girlfriend and Kay is sad and the way Kay just left him is just so heartbreaking. I cried watching this, It's actually hard for me to express my feelings for this movie in words. But all I know to say is Good, Touching, Sad, Romantic and Enjoyable (for gays like me) movie. I recommend this movie for Erotic movie liker people and Emotional/Sad movie liker. This movie actually brings a feeling to be in grief even when you don't have a partner yet But overall ratings from me is 10/10. It's not a really bad movie I also DON'T RECOMMEND this for homophobics because you know what happened to lots of teenagers that commits suicide for these types of bullying
... View MorePoliceman Marc Borgmann is confused about his sexuality. His teammate Kay Engel pursues him. Quickly, he awakes in Marc a desire for a man this healthy 'heterosexual' never suspected. The film's denouement is easy to guess: Marc loses his live-in girl friend Bettina, mother of his new-born son, and he forsakes his lover Kay. In the end, he ends up alone. The seduction scene is cast in a typical German setting: a forest that has the feeling of a medieval tale. It is anything but sexual. The more physical scenes are shot in Kay's flat, with what passes for passionate sex, but borders on the banal. Overall, it is a familiar narrative where boy meets boy and girl and in the end with neither one nor the other. The theme of running is a thread though out the film, as Marc is running to catch a shadow of his inner life that is within reach but never attainable.
