The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

This is the kind of movie we always remember in some life situations. Although they make a caricature of reality as in class and the reactions of children, it is almost a perfect description of many real situations for example. The script was well assembled so as not to leave future actions so explicit. It was recorded in an engaging way with some narratives directed to the viewer made by the main actor himself without making it seem strange. The roles put in the film are common characters for students and make them identify real people from their lives. A great movie to see again from time to time.

When I was a kid, I grew up with the late legend John Hughes. I watched the first two "Home Alone" movies to the point of where I had the lines memorized, and that was before I was 12. Then came "The Breakfast Club," probably one of the best movies to watch regarding high school. (My middle brother saw it first and then talked me into it, but I do not regret it to this day.) After "The Breakfast Club" came "Pretty in Pink" and "Sixteen Candles," both of which I would only watch once. When I came to be a senior in high school, I was introduced to the awesome world of Ferris Bueller. If there is one movie that you should watch before you die, it would definitely have to be this one. It is also another movie that my middle brother and I know line for line and could watch it all day without getting tired of it. That's just the power that John Hughes has to this day, even after his death. A word to the wise, though: although this movie is fantastic with a capital F, do not show it around certain junior high and high school students, for they may actually get the wrong idea. Life does not work like fiction and you will get caught, no doubt about that. Having said that, enjoy this movie over and over.

I expected much, much more from a movie with a 7.8 rating. Maybe I can't relate to this because I'm not American but I've found most of the movie booooooooring and not funny at all. The main character is really hard to like. Other characters are simple and not interesting. The only time when I had a grin on my face was when Charlie Sheen appeared in the police station scene and his first line was "Drugs?".

I watched this one again a few days ago. I was going to say that it hadn't aged well. But on reflection, I realized the sad fact that it is me who hasn't aged well. Teenage movies can be funny, or poignant, or dramatic, but one thing they can't be for me anymore is relevant. I recall thinking that this film was awesome back in the day. Now, it is amusing, but that's really all. Maybe a younger person can deliver a better comment.
