if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

Chapman is an ex-marine in Brazil's slums, battling the yakuza outfit who attacked his sister and left her for dead. Falcon Rising is unlike most B movies it's action packed, well directed and with some excellent fight sequences alongside some solid good acting. The plot was also interesting and there were some great twists and turns along the way as for Michael Jai White? He has never been better than this, this might be his best film since Undisputed 2: Last Man Standing and as for the final big fight? It was awesome and freaking action packed. Some good old comic relief can be seen threw out the film as well. Overall 'Falcon Rising' was an impressive and well made action movie.

Falcon Rising is an action thriller from 2014 starring Michael Jai White in the title role, John 'Falcon' Chapman. Falcon is US Marine veteran and suffers from post traumatic stress disorder. Film picks up momentum when Falcon receives a call from his old buddy Ridley who works in US Consulate in Brazil that Falcon's Sister Cindy is beaten badly and left for dead in the Brazilian Favela. Falcon travels to Brazil and visits his sister in the hospital. He also meets up with Santo and Carlo who are in-charge of investigating his sister's case. Something goes wrong right in front of Falcon in the hospital and from then on he wants to conduct his own investigation. What did Falcon's sister Cindy find and who was responsible for her state and what is actually happening in Brazilian Favela is told in an interesting mode which keeps the viewers engrossed to the screen. Director Ernie Barbarash needs to be complimented for pulling off an action yarn of this standard. Cinematographer Yaron Levy had captured the action and Brazilian favela nicely. Falcon Rising is an entertaining, thrilling and unsentimental action movie where you will be seeing good old-fashioned fight choreography done brilliantly. Good treat for action lovers.

I knew I'd seen Michael Jai White from somewhere else, so a quick check on here and voilà - The Dark Knight.Well I was impressed with Michael Jai White and his moves but and there's always a but...the fight scenes could have been a little more choreographed. As far as fresh new moves for a movie, it didn't hold back one bit. There are some great one-liners in there but it just lacked something. On the hole, I was kept watching, didn't flinch and fell into the film. It's a good movie despite some peoples low rating but what it does clearly show are the very low and dark sides of Brazil...every country has them!!! Enjoy :-)

This film wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. I got this film after seeing a trailer for it on IMDb and I also had the film "Blood and Bone" in mind. Both films star Michael Jai White. Although "Blood and Bone" was simple and predictable it was pretty good, unlike this film. There were a few good action scenes in this film but not enough to compensate for the lack of a deep story line and strong plot. John 'Falcon' Chapman (Michael Jai White) is an ex-marine who goes to Brazil to find and fight the Yakuza gang who violently attacked his sister. See, simple but it could have been way more effective. The acting in this film wasn't bad but it wasn't the best. Some people like Laila Ali should keep their day jobs. I'm not throwing shade I'm just telling it from an artistic view. Some of the acting was a bit stale at times and not very convincing. I just expected more from this film. Now don't get me wrong, this film wasn't so bad to where I couldn't stand it. It's worth watching if you have absolutely nothing else to watch or do.
