The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

This film has more good looking guys than you can shake a stick at. The leads are all hunky and so are all the supporting cast. The story is very light and predictable but cute and sweet nonetheless. Morgan Fairchild makes a cameo appearance and practically steals the film, but then she has always been absolutely wonderful in everything she does. There are lots of twists and turns as well as really great photography and West Hollywood and LA never looked better. My bud and I watched the film in a single sitting as part of our mini film festival we are doing only taking breaks to check the cast here. Apparently, the leads are all working still and considering how good they are in this film it seems their futures are secure. This is the kind of film you never get tired of seeing again and again because it is so great to look at and the story is so uplifting.

I assumed this was going to be a fluffy, fun, feel-good movie that would bring some smiles, if not actual laughs. So I wasn't expecting anything too deep or thought-provoking.I guess that pretty well sums it up, although in the fun & feel-good department, it fell pretty flat. The two main characters lacked any real chemistry, so their break-up and all that followed didn't inspire much empathy/sympathy. The on-line service that took control of events quite often was more annoying & intrusive than mystically omniscient or whatever their presence was supposed to suggest. The anticipated, happily-ever-after denouement seemed pretty bland and contrived … even assuming you'd accept the dubious deus ex machina aspect of eCupid. The cautionary tale regarding the dangers of reacting irrationally to the 7-year-itch and the warning that familiarity breeds ennui, which may prevent us from recognizing the value of what we could end up losing, are worthy but this may not be the most convincing vehicle for carrying that message.

This sweet, unpretentious movie is great date night entertainment. The performances are strong, the story engaging and there are some absurdly silly and hilarious moments. In a way, eCupid is a throwback to Disney movies where a nutty professor invents flubber or a VW Beatle sprouts a personality. While the premise is agreeably totally unbelievable, if you're in a mood to be entertained, you can sit back and have a lot of fun on this ride. Not really just fluff, the premise does have a go at a problem most of us face. Using a bit of fantasy, Calciano tells a story of how technology can step in the middle of relationships, and here the movie has a bit of resonance. Whether it's online dating or just being tied to the hip to a cell phone or laptop by work - who's in control? The movie's production values are solid, photography, editing, score and art direction all work in concert to bring the glossy world of LA to the screen successfully - and where better to set a modern day fantasy, eh? And as icing on the cake, it's great to see Morgan Fairchild in a magical cameo appearance. Worth a watch for sure!

In a complex, over stimulated, fast paced world I found this movie to be light hearted yet meaningful. There is so much drama in our everyday lives that ecupid is a breath of fresh air!!! In addition it addresses a modern day situation of cell phones and the temptations that they bring to our lives. The movie has humor that appeals to everyone. I saw the movie in mixed company and everyone was enjoying it. Laughing is a wonderful common denominator for all. The characters are extremely likable. We all either have been in that situation or are familiar with it and can relate on some level! See the movie; enjoy it for its charm and humor!!!
