The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

Yo, there's no way for me to review this film without saying, take your *insert ethnicity + "ass" here* to see this film, like now. You have to see it in order to know what you're really messing with.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

Like zombies? Tired of watching Mila what's-her-name kicking hordes of them out of her way in heels? Bored of George Romero pretending that he's still relevant? If the answer to any of these questions is 'yes' then this could be the film for you.Deadheads is about a zombie uprising, only two of those groaning shufflers just so happens to be intelligent. Yes, they're dead. Yes, they're decomposing and yes, bits of them are falling off (I'll leave it to your imagination to guess which bits). In fact, they're basically alive, apart from the fact that their fellow walkers don't want to eat them and the remaining humans all want to shoot them in the head. Add to this that one of the two unfortunate living zombies is still pining for his ex girlfriend and you have a road trip across America with two wisecracking zombies. The two IQ-upped undead also take along a 'conventional' zombie (who they call 'Cheese' for some reason - I might have missed why) and treat him like a pet. Cheese, in turn repays them by stealing every scene even though he does little else but groan and look slightly confused. There are plenty of pop culture references added into the mix and, before long, you may even forget you're watching what is, in effect, quite a low budget 'student-like' film.Ultimately, Deadheads is a fun film for all the family (assuming your family is 'The Adams Family'). It has great characters with even greater facial hair and may even take the place of the hallowed Shaun of the Dead in the Zomromcom department. Now, just remember never to ask a zombie what he keeps in his pocket.

This was nice twist on zombie movies, Which I don't think it's be done before but I found the first half the movie very funny at times. As the movies goes on, I didn't really find some of the jokes that funny at all, I got really bored in the middle of the movie.I didn't really thing the movie was that gory at all for a zombie movie, there maybe body Parts being pulled there some strange moment were zombie guts were used as a ropeThe acting was really good from the whole, it shame some of the bad parts of the movie kinda of over shadows fist half of the movie. I wasn't to keen on ending of the movie at all.6 out of 10

The intro makes it seem promising with the grindhouse vibe going for it sorta but it turned out pretty good. This isn't a amazing zombie movie but it's watchable. It's basically about a guy waking up to find out he is a zombie but unlike other zombies he is intelligent and has human conscience and is basically a good zombie cause he doesn't kill people. And randomly meets another zombie that has the mind of a human as well. And it turns out as a zombies on the road trip movie with two unexpected friends Mike and Brent on a journey to find a girl that one of them is head over heels for. Because out of 6 billion people he thinks she is his only soul-mate. And has a old guy and a zombie with zombie mentality and has attributes of the Frankenstein monster following them around. So they are the good guys...Well sorta and the humans that are trying to hunt them are the bad guys...Sorta. So it's a interesting take on this genre and you can tell they put quite a effort into this straight to DVD zombie flick. Even if it does have some plot holes and doesn't make much sense sometimes. For instance the zombie Frankenstein that is tagging along doesn't even try to eat the old guy. They are zombies and yet they smoke pot. You can see them breathing although they are zombies. One of the zombie guy that has the human mind wears glasses without any lenses although he isn't a hipster. And at the end the protagonist who has a zombie body lets his girlfriend kiss him although he can contaminate her and turn her into a zombie. Just to name a few things that doesn't make sense about this movie. The acting in this movie isn't awful but it's far from good, but I guess that somewhat makes this flick humorous a bit. The dialogue isn't well written and can be pretty darn cheesy and childish. If they used the two zombies that still has the intellect of humans and incorporate it into the movie in a clever and creative way it would have really upgraded this movie. But they are on the run from humans that are trying to hunt them and that is basically the only thing the play the fact that the two main characters are zombies upon. Because there is certainly plenty of ways they could have incorporated them being zombies and all and use it to accomplish certain tasks and stuff. If this had a bit of a higher budget and used it for better cinematography and added more cool stuff going on. Incorporated the two zombie buddies with the intellect of humans and used it in a clever and witty manner and did a better job with the dialogue. It could have made it into the theater. Overall it's a alright movie but wanted a bit more humor. It's nowhere near as good as "Shaun of the Dead" but it's a watchable flick.5.8/10

Ha OK I'am a total bona-fide Dead head;I have seen to many zombie movies for my own good and I'm always on the search and look out for the best new zombie movies, which this one had a lot of potential of living up to that standard. Sadly at the end of the movie I was so disappointed in the plot, and lack of zombidom. What would of helped the movie is the backdrop of a zombie Apocalypse, which the plot summary and beginning kind of alluded to.I did enjoy the makeup, and the idea of conscious zombies,on a mission. I also enjoyed the pet zombie they had"cheese";had some good comic relief, yet I just wished the two main zombie characters would of just ate some more brains! That would of added some conflict to the movie,to eat or not to eat; not to mention it would of gave the zombie hunters who were following them something to do beside being douches.I'm sure the writer had his reasons for leaving out the HORROR...and instead opting out for comedy and romance, but still the movie was lacking as a result.Anyways If you like buddy cop films, and zombies than this movie is for you, just don't expect to much blood and zombies try something like "The Horde" or watch the T.v series "The Walking Dead".
